Recently, we found out the condo nearby has started to set up road block in the morning to stop public from using it. FYI, the condo is commercial HDA with shop lot. The road has access to the main road and there is open car park (pay to condo) in front of the shop lot. No parking machines but to pay to the reservation counter. I believed it was closed in the morning to avoid public to use the road passing condo to avoid jam. Out of curiosity, is the road under management or local gov. control? Does management have the right to do so?

I’m guessing it is private. But still curious is it allowable from law perspective

Yes you’re right. The entrance behind the blue Myvi, the road surrounding condo itself. Good to know!

By law yes as long as private land/road... They got rights to close/open the road whenever they wish...

Seems like private road...

So it's within their rights...

To confirmed... Just make official report to local council... These things always very fast take action because can get $$$ from the mistake done (if public road) 😁

If that road is within the strata compound, yes it's private even it's for its commercial lots use. Can set up barrier.

Not public road

It is private road owned by the condo. For sure the condo owners will close the road during rush hour to their advantage. Why they want to allow outsiders and jam their access to main road?

The question is not about asking why it is not offer to public but rather how the law is being set here. If it is stated clearly that management is allowed to close it for resident benefit, by all means.
