White Edge Issue


This white edge issue is common for some iPhone 16 Pro Max users, where the screen protector doesn’t fully stick along the edges, especially on the left and bottom sides.

To fix the white edge issue, your best option is to use a “3D curved hot-blended full-adhesive tempered glass” screen protector. So far, I haven’t found these on Shopee, but they seem to be the only type that can fully solve the white edge problem on the 16 Pro Max.

Actually, my iPhone 16 Pro Max is also facing this issue. I used two Hoda AR tempered glass screen protectors and one X-One 9H tempered glass, but the white edge problem is still there. I checked with "i4 tools" and confirmed that my iPhone 16 Pro Max has an LG GH3 OLED screen. I’m quite disappointed, as it’s not the Samsung G9N OLED screen.

So far, this type of '3D curved hot-blended full-adhesive tempered glass' is only available on Taobao. Yes, only this kind of screen protector can fully solve the white edge issue on the iPhone 16 Pro Max. Unfortunately, there aren’t many options—you may need to skip your favorite brands and go with these Chinese-made protector to fix this problem.

Everytime I take my new iPhone, I must check the camera lens first because I have a bad experience with my iPhone 5 last time. The dust inside camera lens and I not able to replace because I bought from black market seller through online delivery. During that time, Apple still not yet launch in Malaysia.

I have no issue with black border but always have problem with the screen protector cannot stick to the edge tightly. It became white edge. I not so sure so far in Malaysia here got have many iPhone users have facing this problem. White edge meaning that iPhone 16 Pro Max screen design has slightly curve on the edges. When I apply a tempered glass screen protector on the screen, the left side edge will open out. No matter how hard I push it down, it will open out back and left a long white edge on the screen protector.
