am wanting to pre order and pick up my iphone at apple TRX, however they said pick up date is 20th, if i'm overseas still 24th-25th they will just hold on to it till i come?

hey guys! just need one last piece of advice sifus..

i have an iphone 14 promax, filled with almost 1TB of high quality videos and pictures from my travels and etc

i also have an icloud of 2TB which i just purchased

my question is, i am getting the new iphone pro 16 1TB

i don't want any of my old photos on my new phone...want to have like a new separate album, however i want to be able to access my old photos at anytime.

is there something i can do with icloud to help me gain this feature? but will it then mess up with the new iphone 16 pro in the future when i back up files, sync etc?

if i am not selling my old iphone 14 promax, can i still turn it on to send out my old pictures without a data line?

sorry i'm not that tech savvy

just wanted to know my best course of action

may i ask if im restoring from icloud my new iphone 16 pro it sometimes restart and goes into the screen that i have to enter the passcode, do i constantly have to be around to enter the passcode so it can get wifi? or i can just let the phone be and it will be restoring in the background still …

that’s what i did , bought a phone, brought back, slowly transfer and wiped the phone, went in to trx on day 5, traded just the naked old phone with nothing else

it was a iphone pro max 14 @ 1tb and i got 3480 for it

hi may i ask, if u charge your iphone 16 pro does your cable “click in” the charging port like previous models?

my iphone 16 pro doesn’t, it still charges but when i pull the wire it just comes right off it doesn’t “click and lock” like my previous phone

just curious if it’s an iphone 16 pro thing

using the same cable on my ipad pro and 15 pro max it “clicks” in

but when use same cable on 16 pro iphone it just goes in and charges, when pull out , slides out . no click and lock

ughhh so annoying cannot tahan so went to apple and checked and all other iphone16 pro has the click but mine is faulty and does not

it still charges tho

they offer 1 to 1 exchange but i am still thinking because omg 1 day of transferring stuff all over again
