That’s why the current version of iPhone selling in bolehland or lion city that has eSIM+physical sim is good. If there is eSIM option as the main no then stick to eSIM and leave the esim/physical sim slot for 2nd sim.

I'm not sure what's the big deal about it being assembled in China or India. It should be assembled to Apple's standards and that should be uniform across board. Was there a problem with your wife's 15?

Yup, I find truly no reason to using eSIM for main. It was good for temporary, for example overseas usage.

Last time got video show assemble in India is not that good when they open up, it is not that tidy as assembly at China, even though no impact to usage.

check out 15's thread, non-pro one. bunch of complains on quality actually, searching the issue on XHS have many same complaints as well

Not for Maxis eSim though. I converted my physical sim on my 11 pro to eSim on my 15 pro max via the eSim transfer function on the phone itself.

Took me less than 5 mins. No need to go online website or anything like that. It was a seamless experience.

Though I'm using Digi eSIM and it requires me to go to Digi Centre to get it transferred to a new device, I still find eSIM is quite convenient after using it for 4 years now. I have two active lines so one of them must be an eSIM, so far not too bad.
