Yeah, I haven't seen the device in real life yet, I'm afraid I will take one home later. laugh.gif
*
Haha. Actually, for an upgrade once a year of a device that you may use typically for many many hours per day, is very well worth the upgrade cost. 😇😇😇

Unless it’s some secondary gadget that you chuck aside and seldom use, then for sure I don’t recommend. laugh.gif

QUOTE(fruitie @ Sep 20 2024, 03:28 PM)
Yeah, you should. I had the same excitement too when I got the 15PM last year. After I got it, the pain of doing transfer etc from my old iPhone drained me up. laugh.gif
*
That’s where the fun is! The tinkering, transferring this and that. Embrace the joy in it. ☺️☺️☺️

Coming from a 13 PM, chose the Natural Titanium colour for the 16 PM, initially thought I might regret it for not choosing the Desert Titanium, but your photo of the Natural colour looks stunning.
*
Yeah. Most people would’ve gotten Desert cause it’s the ‘2024 iPhone color of the year’. But in actual fact their heart may say otherwise. 👀

Awkward position not user friendly for both potrait or landscape photography users. Maybe smaller iPhone 16 Pro had better user friendly
*
The issue more on not nice to control.

QUOTE(tzxsean @ Sep 20 2024, 07:14 PM)
Oso takes longer time to snap photo .. by the time u done adjusting the perfect moment already gone I think
*
Agreed!

QUOTE(dreamthief @ Sep 20 2024, 08:05 PM)
Ah.. u earlier said colors not attractive… so u bought one already?

The camera control seems to behave and feels like MacBook touchpad… once you used to it.. iphone camera control is familiar.

Same feeling I had when MacBook touchpad first came out.. a slab of nothing to press. 😂
*
Before this online photo looks ugly. Actual so better.
I didn’t buy. 😅

MacBook touchpad far better. This camera control no feeling one.

I have been avoiding watching any 16 Pro Max videos until today. OK, I admit the camera is better, and the button is not gimmicky.
*
So far I’ve just using the camera control button to adjust Exposure setting.

Honestly it helps a lot with photos especially when I prefer certain shots to be slightly underexposed to bring out the shadows. 😇

With the camera control button, exposure can be adjusted way much faster compared to using the on-screen tap and hold and slide, like in previous iPhones.

QUOTE(westlife @ Sep 20 2024, 05:26 PM)
I saw the real phone earlier in store. The desert gold certainly looks better in real than on picture.

Much more outstanding than natural titanium last year.
*
Agree! But I don’t know whether it’s placebo effect or not. 😁🫠

Actual phone dessert titanium color damn pretty! 16 Pro Max bigger a lot when compare with 15 Pro Max.

The camera control not so nice to use, no feeling.

Collected my 16 PM just at about 7pm. Started the transfer of data process via WiFi since 7.30pm, close to 50% only now. Had about 100GB of data in the old phone.

Congrats!!! 🎉

PBB and MBB both require ATM machine verification with ATM card. Very troublesome indeed if one changes devices often.

Many pages back… I did recommend to use usb cable. The side by side phone is quite straightforward but could be slow.

How about banking app ? Need to verify again ?
*
Yup. TouchNGo eWallet and my HSBC app I had manually unlink from my old phone. Then just sign in on new phone using OTP. Simple.

My Maybank app was leceh. Had to go ATM to reactivate Secure2U on my new phone and wait 12h for activation

Can confirm cable transfer is better. My 250GB transfer finished first even though it was over USB2 speeds and the person in front of me had less to transfer (he was doing it wirelessly)
