hey guys i want to ask a question if i buy iphone in the us and open it up and keep the iphone in my pocket while going through imigration will they tax me for the iphone?

Of course not, unless u got alot iphone inside ur pocket.

Actually I've had my baggage checked plenty of times when I was a student. Personally I think it's random but it helps when you have a business class or first class tag on your bag. :-) Otherwise I just go to the next customs officer (avoid the women!!!), smile and offer to show my bag :-) Most of the time they wave me off.

But no, they won't tax stuff in your pocket.

Just unpack the phone, keep it in your pocket and walk past them. I had it with me that way last time i came back from LA, and like tishaban, they waved me off. Dont look like you are trying to avoid them, otherwise it's bag-spilling time.

Of course, knowing them personally helps as well, perks of working in the same venue i guess.

Sorry guys. Just need some help regarding iphone. My Aunt just bought new iphone yesterday in US. So the time she fly back here she still can receive call, but after she touch some setting, it can't receive any call at all. Both of her friends still can receive call. The Iphone is already been hack, but no sure which crack she use. But most properly i think she did turn some setting wrong that make it wont receive any call. Any help??? btw she use Maxis line.

oh hehe cool okay. i will be getting mine from the us then scared they will tax it only huhu. i think ver 1.1.1 can be downgraded to a lower version which could be unlocked .. right?

the problem seems not from iphone but maxis. i havent heard any info regarding iphone can be used with maxis.
1.1.1 can direct unlock for downgrade to 1.0.2 then unlock. not much different between two version. i still prefer 1.0.2, more stable, sth like fw 1.5 in psp

Not a problem at all. Those seller in Malaysia carries 4 or 5 iphones from Singapore to Malaysia at any one time.

You dont have to downgrade to 1.0.2, you can directly unlock it. Wasting two unlock attempts on two firmware versions (1.0.2 and then 1.1.1) will only increases your chances of botching up the unlock attempts and locking it up, especially when you have to do the revirginizing process, which a lot of guys here had trouble with. Google about the NCK Counters in you're interested.

whats the battery life for an iphone?

MY pattern of usage:-

Listen to music, every time im out, my headphones are always on my head , surfing via EDGE, especially these two days , for my Sales thread, occasional drop by Starbucks for Wifi for my weblogs, send a couple of SMSes to potential buyers in my Sales thread, answered phone calls to meet up with them, take pics and send it over to my weblog, and also , for yesterday only, looking up places on Google Maps to stop for breaks for my next trip to the US, planned it as a long drive from LA to Sandusky, Ohio. Looking up for places to spend the night, motels or B&B, othewise budget hotels. This is what im looking for in Sandusky, Ohio.

End result? By the time i reached home at near midnight, the 10% battery power left message flashed on. Very good in my books, since im able to do all of that with a single charge.

i see isee , haha .. im going taxas by the way.huhu. so now the limit is 2 iphones per customer? must we be a us citizen to buy? must we subcribe to at&t only we are able to buy or can we just buy it seperately?
