KUALA LUMPUR: Top Residency dan Senheng New Retail Bhd (Senheng) menjadi syarikat korporat terbaru yang tampil menjanjikan habuan lumayan buat atlet negara yang berjaya memenangi pingat emas di Sukan Olimpik Paris 2024.

Habuan sebuah pangsapuri mewah bernilai RM1 juta ditawarkan Top Residency kepada mana-mana atlet yang berjaya memenangi pingat emas pertama buat kontinjen Malaysia di Paris.

Senheng pula menawarkan hadiah wang tunai berjumlah RM1 juta kepada tiga pemain badminton negara, Aaron Chia, Soh Wooi Yik dan Chen Tang Jie yang pernah berada di bawah Program Bakat Badminton SS dari 2012 hingga 2016 jika mereka berjaya meraih emas.

Sekiranya ada lebih daripada satu pemenang, wang tunai berkenaan akan dikongsikan sama rata antara mereka.

Menteri Belia dan Sukan, Hannah Yeoh yang mengumumkan perkara itu, berkata pihaknya amat menghargai usaha sama antara kerajaan dengan pihak swasta yang turut memainkan peranan penting bagi memastikan kecemerlangan kontinjen negara di Paris.

"Tajaan ini adalah sebagai menyuntik semangat atlet agar dapat memberikan aksi yang terbaik di bumi Paris nanti.


"KBS (Kementerian Belia dan Sukan) mengalu-alukan lebih banyak syarikat swasta dan korporat untuk tampil ke hadapan dalam usaha sama memajukan lagi industri sukan negara," katanya ketika sidang media di sini, hari ini.

Sebelum ini, Cherry Malaysia menawarkan habuan lumayan sebuah kenderaan utiliti sukan (SUV) kepada atlet yang berjaya memenangi pingat di Olimpik Paris.

Cherry menawarkan SUV Tiggo 8 Pro bagi atlet yang membawa pulang emas, Omoda E5 untuk pemenang perak sementara Tiggo 7 Pro bagi yang membawa pulang gangsa.

Di bawah Skim Hadiah Kemenangan Sukan (SHAKAM), pemenang emas Sukan Olimpik akan menerima RM1 juta, perak (RM300,000) dan gangsa (RM100,000).

Atlet turut menerima Skim Imbuhan Tetap Olimpik yang diberikan secara bulanan sepanjang hayat dengan pemenang emas diberikan RM5,000, perak RM3,000 dan gangsa bernilai RM2,000.

Athletics

Azeem Fahmi – Men’s 100m Sprint

Golf

Gavin Kyle Green – Men’s Golf
Gavin will be contesting in his 3rd Olympics after the previous two games. He qualified by ranking 53rd in the Olympic Golf Ranking men’s category. He will represent Malaysia as one of the seven Asian countries to play in the sport of golf.

Ashley Lau Jen Wen – Women’s Golf
The 24-year-old is from Bintulu, and she is the first Sarawakian golfer to qualify for the Olympic Games. She qualified for the games by ranking 50th in the Olympic Golf Ranking women’s category, which is governed by the International Golf Federation.

Weightlifting
Mohamad Aniq Kasdan – Men’s 61kg
The 22-year-old Johorean weightlifter will be making his debut in the Olympics this year. His most recent victories came in the 2021 SEA Games (Bronze), 2021 Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships (Gold), 2022 Commonwealth Games (Gold), and 2023 International Weightlifting Federation Grand Prix (Bronze).

Cycling

Dato’ Azizulhasni Awang – Sprint and Keirin Cycling
A stranger to none, Dato’ Azizulhasni Awang is Malaysia’s most decorated cyclist, nicknamed The Pocket Rocketman. In his last two Olympic Games, he won a bronze medal in the 2016 games, and a silver medal in the 2020 games – both in the Keirin event. This will be his fifth appearance at the Olympics.

Muhammad Shah Firdaus Sahrom – Sprint and Keirin Cycling
The 28-year-old Johorean will be making his second Olympics appearance. In his debut in Tokyo, he managed to advance to the quarter-finals for the keirin event, while stopped at the third round repechage of the sprint event.

Nurul Izzah Izzati Mohd Asri – Sprint and Keirin Cycling
The Kedah-born athlete is also nicknamed the Pocket Rocket Woman. The 21-year-old recently won 2 gold medals in the sprint and keirin events at the ASEAN Track President’s Cup 2 Series.

Nur Aisyah Mohamad Zubir – Road Cycling
The 26-year-old from Terengganu will be the first ever Malaysian female road cyclist to compete in the Olympics. She recently won a bronze medal at the 2023 SEA Games.

Archery

Ariana Nur Dania – Women’s Individual and Women’s Team
This will be Ariana’s debut in the Olympics. The 19-year-old qualified for the Women’s Individual event by winning the Bangkok 2023 Asian Archery Championship’s gold medal in November 2023.
She will also be competing in the Women’s Team event with Syaqiera and Nurul Azreena.
Syaqiera Mashayikh and Nurul Azreena Mohamad Fazil – Women’s Team
This will be Syaqiera’s second Olympic appearance. The Johor-born 24-year-old ranked 43rd in the preliminary round in the recurve event, however was eliminated in her first knockout match in the Tokyo Olympics. She also managed to finish 19th overall in the mixed team event with Khairul Anuar.

Shooting
Jonathan Wong – 10m Air Pistol
Jonathan is the 3rd Malaysian athlete to secure a place in the 2024 Olympics in Paris. He qualified on merit with a fourth place finish in the Men’s 10m Air Pistol event. This will be his second appearance in the Olympics following his 2016 debut in Rio de Janeiro.

Sailing
Nur Shazrin Mohamad Latif – ILCA6
This will be the Johorean’s 3rd appearance at the Olympics, having finished 33rd in the One Person Dinghy (Laser Radial) event in 2016, and then 26th in the Laser Radial Women event in the Tokyo Olympics.
She recently won a gold medal at the 2022 Asian Games for the Women’s ILCA6.
Khairulnizam Mohd Afendy – ILCA7
An Olympic veteran, the Kedah-born sailor will become the second Malaysian sailor to compete in four Olympics after Dr Kevin Lim (From 1996 to 2008).
He ranked 47th in the London 2012 Olympics in the One Person Dinghy (Laser) event, further improving in the same event in 2016 to 35th. In the most recent edition of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, he ranked 28th in the Laser Men event.

Swimming
Khiew Hoe Yean – Men’s 400m Freestyle
The 21-year-old will be making his debut in the Olympics this year. A rising star, he won his first gold swimming medal for Malaysia in the 2021 SEA Games 200m Freestyle event. His second gold came in the same event later in the 2023 SEA Games.
He is the current national record holder in the 400m Freestyle event.
Tan Rouxin - Women's 100m Breaststroke
Also making her debut at the young age of 18, the Johorean is going in with full confidence, wanting to break her personal best record of 1:11.02s for the 100m breaststroke in Paris.

Diving
Bertrand Rhodict Lises – Men’s 10m Platform
The nation’s 18-year-old was the first Malaysian to qualify for the Paris Olympics 2024 in July 2023, following his 10th place ranking in the World Aquatic Championships 2023 in Fukuoka. He will be making his debut in the Olympics.
Nur Dhabitah Sabri - Women's 3m Springboard
Dhabitah is no stranger to Malaysians with her impressive track record for Malaysia. In the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics, Dhabitah and Cheong Jun Hoong fnished 5th in the 3m synchronized springboard event, while in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics she finished 4th in the Women’s 3m springboard event. Let’s hope Dhabitah’s 3rd appearance in Olympics 2024 is the time that she brings a medal back home.

Badminton

Lee Zii Jia - Men's Singles
The world No. 10 Lee Zii Jia will participate in his second Olympic Games. In the previous Tokyo Olympics, he was eliminated in the round of 16 by Chen Long. The good news is Zii Jia has been riding on a good form of winning the BWF Thailand Open and BWF Australian Open in 2024, we hope Zii Jia will be able to bring home Malaysia’s first ever Olympics gold.

Goh Jin Wei - Women's Singles
The 24 year old will be making her Olympics debut. Jin Wei is no stranger to the world stage, as she has previously won two world junior chamionships.

Aaron Chia, Soh Wooi Yik - Men's Doubles
The national doubles pair won Malaysia’s only bronze medal in the Tokyo Olympics 2020. In 2024, they managed to clinch a runner-up spot in the BWF All England Open. They are the pair to look out for to clinch a gold for Malaysia as well.

Pearly Tan, Thinaah Muralitharan - Women's Doubles
The highly anticipated national pair will be making their Olympics debut. In 2022’s Birmingham Commonwealth Games, they managed to clinch gold.

Cheng Tang Jie, Toh Ee Wei - Mixed Doubles
Our mixed doubles pair will also be making their Olympics debut. Similarly to Zii Jia, they have been riding on great form this year with 2 runner-up results in BWF Thailand Masters and BWF Swiss Open.
