Hi I'm about to buy my first smart TV and in term of budget and spec I'm down to these 2 model

Toshiba m550mp
TCL 55t7b

For Toshiba this model already in the market about 2 years, is it s worth to get it? Those used it did you guys encounter any issue?

Apologies if I ask in the wrong thread.

Yeah I have Unifi plus tv box planning to used those.

For the mentioned model does the rom too small? What's the rom size? Does Toshiba able to read mkv and subtitle file?

yea...u can't install many large apps on it since the rom is small.
any system need bigger rom for file caching to run.
u left too little space then the system will keep writing the cache over and over again on the same sector. that will shorten the emmc lifespan.

mkv and subtitles? u can just install the VLC app for that.

I haven't used it since I got it - and now it's lost, literally - but I don't think the Unifi Plus TV Box has Dolby Vision. Since both TV models have DV support, you might consider getting a Netflix-compliant, DV-capable Google TV box.

Meaning if I want to play other streaming app I have to stream from TV rather than TV box?

Any recommendation for affordable TV Google TV box that hdr10+ ready? Or Dolby vision

Picture quality is measurable. Audio quality while measurable has to be an in-person experience. Bass response is dependent on the speakers as well as the space the TV is in/on. A cheap bookshelf speakers can beat TV speakers in terms of loudness almost all the time.

It just means that Atmos audio can be processed, which means the TV will try its best to give you "surround" with two speakers. Results will not be convincing because there are just two speakers. Better get a decent 5.1 soundbar setup, which might cost you the same as the TV. If you want true Atmos experience, it'll definitely cost more than the TV.

Yup but I’m not the fussy type and since most not reliable, I’m just buying back the brand that has lasted the longest based on my experience
