1.7 releases are virtually useless if one, you do not lean heavily into the anomaly playstyle, and two, if you have a serviceable Ice unit to get the job done.

Vivian is strictly a unit intended to elevate the rest of her anomaly peers' damage ceiling. If you've never been into the Anomaly trend, or do not care much for that playstyle, you're better off without her.

Hugo is a tricky one, I believe he got buffed during beta but is simply shaping up to be on Sanby's power level. He isn't going to be powercreeping Miyabi and is strictly a character that people will pull out of love. His gimmick is detonating large amounts of damage during the stun window. Even so, I think these two are in a massively tricky spot with anni patch dropping in 2.0...

Yi Xuan aka the girl in the pv thumbnail is rumored to be of a new Ether role, at which point you would have seen beta leaks and what not. Honestly, I say skip Vivian based on your roster, KIV Hugo but mostly leaning toward skipping. And just prepare for 2.0.

Do that instead. The 1.X trend has skewed heavily toward making Anomaly units meta so much that they introduced several powerhouse Anomaly units back to back, i.e.: Jane, Burnice, Yanagi, and Miyabi in that order.

If you're looking for something exciting to play, you missed out with Miyabi's debut but rumor has it she returns 2.0. Of the 4 units, Vivian is intended to benefit Jane and Yanagi the most, because Phys has been off-meta for several patches, and Yanagi is starting to show signs of falling off in power. Burnice is Burnice, being an off-field agent, she has better value, but doesn't particularly synergize with the two. Hence, the former's release.

We'll be in a filler patch come next Wed, it really isn't worth throwing your tapes in for a moment of instant gratification.

Might sound crass, but you fucked up massively returning post-1.5 . There was Evelyn and Astra, and I think you would have enjoyed the two since one happens to be the game's top DPS unit just right behind Miyabi, and the latter is a broken support on par with Caesar.

Sounds like you enjoy the ATK class immensely, and have a thing for Ice and Fire units. Evelyn would have fit the bill for Fire.

Yeah, Vivi + Piper works. This is the reason I run Anomaly team comps over Attackers because they require Stunners and Supports to function effectively. It requires thrice the work to gear these units.

Whereas Anomaly team comps are simply 2 Anoms + 1 Support to line up Disorders back-to-back, with no required investment whatsoever for most anomaly units in their talents. Be warned however. Piper is energy-intensive and requires animation canceling to get the most mileage out of her spin.

One of the many reasons I enjoy Yanagi. Masterful parries will let you remain on-field for days unless it's to swap the support for debuffs and setting up.

The could be better considering I'm an M6 Yanagi, but getting Typhoon Destroyer's animations down to a pat is a little tricky. Still happy nonetheless.

Seems like Deadly Assault is the benchmark for performances now, and the only reason Yanagi is still considered A tier is her ability to 65k the content, which no other Electric DPS can effortlessly. She is starting to show early signs of struggling. Even Jane Doe is widely considered unimpressive as a hypercarry and needs to play Disorders to bounce back, also in part because DA hasn't recycled any phys-weak content.

Miyabi is Miyabi and doesn't have issues considering her overtuned numbers.

Worth watching for folks planning to go for Vivian.

Finally pulled Vivian over the weekend. Could have pushed to M4, but W-Engine fucked me over. They say you're less likely to lose W-Engines considering it's 75-25 rate, but I've never had any success insofar lol. Meanwhile, my Vivian pulls went super well. Luck was a slow to catch on, but won all 50-50s, so M3.

Just months of hoarding after M6 Yanagi, lol.

Yeah. Clicking this much in a game will wear out my gaming mouse sooner than I care to replace it for the third time. Also leads to potential Carpal Tunnel.

You'd be surprised how quickly Genshin and ZZZ wear your mouse down during endgame content. Hence, the investment in a GuliKit controller. Also feels more intuitive with swapping and def assisting.

I recommend investing in a PC gaming controller. Someone recommended GuliKit to me and I haven't had any problems with it. Pretty durable and reasonable price point too. Don't really think it's a good idea to play ZZZ on tab because it is SO action-packed. Genshin's fine, but ZZZ might wear out your touch screen quickly imo.

Astra's as meta as supports get and I have a feeling she'll probably stay that way for several expansions like Kazuha, but I could be wrong.

What I do given my limited supports is have Astra support weaker teams, and M6 Yanagi brute force the other half. Particularly with DA, and SD where you simply need two teams to get all the chromes, Yanagi + now Vivian is core for me. Accompanying the team is probably Rina for her passive and the occasional EX/Chain Attack for PEN buff uptime.

Then Piper + Nicole + Astra. Admittedly, this cycle's CA required me to swap Vivian into Piper's team in place of Nicole to hit 20k. Tried the former lineup with Butcher in Deadly Assault, couldn't hit 19k no matter how hard I tried. The moment I swapped in Vivian, the score skyrocketed to 40k with suboptimal rots. It's a Piper issue, whatwith energy being a thing and the Butcher going invisible.

Assuming the anni selector is restricted to standard banner and timed, and with no new units being inducted into Standard, you can opt for Rina or Lycoan, I don't really think the rest are worth your time. Lycoan is still great with Ice DPS and a core for Miyabi mono-ice. Rina for mono-Shock.

Ooooh, I didn't know you could do that. So you're telling me you can operate and play ZZZ on your tablet the way you do on PC? IIRC, GuliKit controller has a wireless setting too, so there's that if you're seeking another reason to get it.

JFF and Pan Yin Hu are strictly made to support YX, unless they roll out further Annihilation units in the foreseeable future. And also with YX scaling with HP% > HP > ATK% > ATK, with ATK stats being highly undesirable with her, Astra won't make much of a difference supporting her. Yixuan is basically just HP% damage dealer with reliance on crit substats. If you have plans to make YX a staple, JFF is a must lol.

Real sorry to hear that. Have you consulted the physiotherapist? Carpal tunnel can be managed with consistent stretches and exercises. Best to nip it in the bud before it spirals into permanent nerve damage. I thought I had carpal tunnel too until I consulted a physio and confirmed my sensations were a result of stiff shoulder muscles that weren't mobilized long-term. It's just aging frankly, but I recommend seeing physios, and if you already have, seek a second opinion. Long-term treatments are expensive for sure, but you'll avoid larger billl.

Also haven't pulled for YX. Dumped everything into Vivian's banner for M3 + W1. But invested in IKM to hedge. Currently sitting 100 pulls, will see what happens come YX banner end. Don't know if I can do YX + JFF b2b.

Astra is a universal support that will benefit anyone, even if she's not Yi Xuan's most optimal support. JFF probably exists to help YX as we discussed. That reminds me, some guides on YX for those trying to figure out her rots.

For real though, I recommend consulting a physio, or travel down to JB for weekly treatments. Better late than never.
