Every now and then I'd be looking out for new jobs because my current job is making me feel burnt out. Every time I found a job a pplied in, the HR / PIC will call me back to talk about the job. When it comes to discussing the salary range part, for a manager level salary is between rm4500 to rm7000. I thought salary for managers in corporate sectors tend to be higher (no less than rm8000 per month), Anyone working in banking sector willing to share what their salary range is like as a manager?

It purely depends on the department. If you’re in Ops, then thats probably the range. But if you’re in BU or profit centre then it will definitely be higher.

The problem with salaries is that there’s asymmetric information available (Glassdoor reviews notwithstanding), as for whatever reason, many of us don’t like to reveal our actual salaries (not to mention that it’s often considered unrefined to even probe about it in polite conversation).
The asymmetry favours the HR and hiring team and puts the potential employee at a disadvantage come job hunting time.
