Hahahaha! Before a staff, I was also just a member who enjoys browsing the forum. Still do though, with the occasional need to ensure "enforcement" where regulation needs to be carried out biggrin.gif otherwise most of us are just another member.

Personally a fan of GOT series! It's so cool to see the filming location and they included a tag of the show too.

mohon tanya which would be better choice first for Scandinavian countries? in terms of things to do and cost wise

im keen on Finland, but macam not as much things besides tackling the usual touristy Inari, Helsinki, Santa Village etc

Iceland and Norway OTOH is very focused on nature and requires renting cars to explore entire thing

Sweden, Denmark area havent research yet

Helsinki Finland is actually pretty boring. Only thing I liked was Hesburger. I find nothing much to do or see. Good thing is that it is near to Talinn, Estonia which I found more interesting

Iceland + Norway FTW

I didn't drive at all in Iceland and Norway. I only drive in UK biggrin.gif

It's nature based, but can just use local day tours instead of driving. Really enjoyed all my tours (especially the Tromso NorthernLights) as they can bring you to all the nice spots which is very hard to find on your own.

South scandinavia in the big cities I find a bit boring. If you want to do Scandinavia, I suggest doing the north in the winter. NorthernLights, IceHotel, Reindeer/Dog sledding, Skiing, etc

yeah its quite a short 2-3 day trip based on seeing how much to do in Helsinki. seems like Finland can be tackled in 7-9 days kind discounting Estonia. but Estonia should feel more like eastern europe like Austria/Croatia i heard

huh i thought driving would be more flexible. but yeah tours would be easier since all already prepped

yes my plan is during winter like Jan-Feb time, where prices seems decent. Finland surprised me abit, pricing for 3 star hotels around RM300-400 per night. but food wise its gg, EUR10 for one coffee.. sweat.gif

Baltic country have a different feel. Helsinki is a bit too quiet as a city. I don't think it is a popular place for tourists, given the lack of interesting things and price. You will thank me for Hesburger later smile.gif

For my holidays, I usually do day tours on alternate days if the place of interest is far away.

Driving can actually be more problematic sometimes, if you are driving into cities. Not all hotels have parking, those that have might charge more and there's sometimes congestion charge. It is useful when travelling out to rural places

Anyway, welcome to Helsinki!

Quiet destinations, can pick one of the smaller towns. One of my personal favourites is Bergen, Norway :
