Hi guys, any recommendation for a good printer that able to serve print volume of roughly 2k - 3k black and white pages every month?

Most important factor would be the printing cost and maintenance cost. Full duplex feeder would be good but that's optional.

Currently using HP 4729 and cost quite a lot to keep buying ink cartridge.

Thank you very much in advanced for your helps!

Thanks for help, PRSXFENG!

Isn't drum+toner would be much expensive than normal inkjet?

Thanks for help, myway1985.

Copier meaning that no limit of printing? Just pay monthly rental? Or there is certain range?

If you print a lot of black & white, it make $en$e to go with laser printer (either standalone or MFD) as per print is cheaper with volume. You can easily do a per page cost calculation and see if the volume gives you better ROI or not.

And MFD copier makes even more $en$e if consistently high volume.

but you can print much much much more with the 1 toner cartridge compared to ink cartridges

thousands vs hundreds

drum doesn't need to be replaced that often

and if you get the older cheaper brother models (eg, hl1110), it is so simple it has no checking, so you can throw in 3rd party toner that's like.... rm15 on laz/shopee
of course, quality may vary if you use 3rd party toner

otherwise if you want to go ink, get an ink tank printer, epson is the original, they have some black and white only models
the printer costs more, like 500++ compared to a typical cartridge printer

but that's how those earn, sell the printer cheap or even at a loss
then earn back from the crazily expensive ink cartridges

so, it is worth it to spend more on a ink tank/laser that is more expensive at first but has cheaper running costs

for my use case with ink tank, the ink lasts years instead of months (casual home use)
my brother ink tank lasted 4 to 5k pages before I had to refill once

compared to a cartridge one which prints like hundreds at most

I know managed print services like Xerox and Ricoh have minimum print quantity. Then per page is like 3 cents i think for A4 B/W. Toner+ drum+fuser+roller replacement included in the package. Scanning service is free. Paper you provide. Rosak already that machine, just call helpline someone come over fix it.
