Long story short, I saw a Ninja 400 in FB marketplace @RM16900. Tied to arrange meeting with seller for 1 week, he give many reason say cannot la busy la. Then when confirm one day to meet, I message him to confirm before departing, he say don wan sell because ownself want to use. I tell him he waste my time then he say motor rosak not don wan sell. Fast forward to today, see the same listing again at RM18500 "last" price.

Posting just to complain and share to you guys this guy testing market big time. Many lies from him throughout our convo. So you guys jagalah if interested in this guy's bike (don even know if it's his because he sell used bike, but he claim is his bike). At the end he block me.

Lesson learned here is if seller hesitate to sell and acting suspicious, just skip, because the ninja 650 I eyeing also sold ady. Wasted time + opportunity elsewhere. My fault la.
Oh and seller is a proton salesman lol.

consider it a blessing in disguise thanks for sharing

suggest you move on and as much as the 400 is a good bike, it's rare and may give trouble in terms of maintenance later on

the other bikes are more common, and widely used engine across other Kawa platforms

Yup, good to avoid it like you said, currently looking at ninja 250, cbr500r, ninja 650, all much more safer choices. (Z800 price is close but I remember it being around 19-21k many years ago, now price higher pulak so skip)

Thanks for the advice!

out of the list, you have 20k budget
you can consider a CBR929 or CBR954 if you're lucky, or any water cooled injection GSXR750

I know I would

Those are definitely interesting bikes that I never paid any attention to before. But i'll probably settle for something newer and easier to maintain. Cool retro supersports though!

Just go imotorbike showroom in Glenmarie, plenty of choices there for you. Touch and test all you want

Don't fret it. You would be much better off with a used ninja 650
