just bought iphone no contract from maxis, salesperson say phone will be telco lock for 1 week.

Does anyone know if there really is such thing, no contract phone still need lock for a certain period?

I actually went to different maxis branches, every branch tell me different things. Some need subscribe maxis plan for 6 months, etc.

How much paying for the phone?

u should've ask the sales person to show u the document / any official writing that mentioned no-contract device will only be telco lock for only 1 week. if no proof then it's just sweet talk to get u to subscribe it.
