I'm currently using Umobile GX30 with RM5 Hotspot Add On. Speed is 6Mbps. It is usable, but struggles during peak hours and when downloading large files or streaming video chat.

Used to have a separate line for Unifi Bebas back when they offered unlimited hotspot quota, but now they only offer 10GB hotspot quota.

Any recommendations on the Prepaid plans with Hotspot quota of at least 100GB a month?

Like that you might as well use 5G unlimited in 5g modem. Umobile and Yes got SIM only plan, around 60 a month. Umobile also free modem if you sign 2 year contract otherwise buy modem yourself.

why not consider postpaid? U Mobile U38, 120gb free for you to hotspot all of it (+5gb extra hotspot quota)

Agree.. I'm digicelcom and also umobile u38 user. Both good. Just switch telco around when reception is poor.

Is 120gb permanent or teaser quota? will they downgrade back to 60gb quota after a few months? Because the TNC states 60gb https://www.u.com.my/en/personal/support/te...aid/postpaid-38, but front page poster shows 120gb.

My current Gx30 plan also offers unlimited, but unsure of FUP quota. I'm assuming that it's around 100gb also.

There is a cheaper postpaid option from Yes (if you prefer) - Power 35 with 150GB data (all data can be used for hotspot) for RM37.10/month (tax included).

this is also not the first time the plan has been upgraded, U38 started with 30gb, got doubled up to 60gb, and then again to the current 120gb
