Hi all,

Maxis installer came to my house few days back and replaced my old TP-link C5v with theEX230v.  Previously, i used the router as bridgemode, simple to mantain the VoIp and remote management, which for the internet, i use my own asus router.  However, with the new maxis router, i'm unable to change the internet setting to bridge mode.

has anyone able to do it on the same router model? Or maybe someone able to get through a back door or have supoervisor password for the router.  Appreciate your feedback on this.

Try doing it this way instead

Modem -> Asus -> TP-Link

With the internet setup on the Asus, and the TP-Link as just a VoIP phone device
Select the Maxis fiber profile and connect the TP-Link according to the Lan port indicated on the Asus UI, and disable internet and WiFi on the TP-Link

Or, did they take away the old c5v? Just use it instead?

And lastly, the credentials you may need

MaxSysAdm

This is the setup that i have managed to do, after enabling the bridge mode.

Modem -> TP-Link (with 4G dongle) -> Asus

Reason for using bridgemode is to enable the 4G backup sim that originally came with my maxis fiber service.  Not able to plug in my dongle directly to Asus router due to restriction doneon the dongle itself.

On another note, i thought of using the supplied TP-link with an AX23 to do the easymesh.  Unfortunately, the coverage and performace of the mesh node is so bad that i had to revert back to using Asus again.  Even without the AI mesh node, the asus router coverage and performance is so much better than EX210 + AX23 combined..

I have never tried it before but the 4g dongle may work on the Asus if you change the hostname of the Asus to specifically, "Maxis_Archer_C5v" in LAN section
Because that's what the dongle checks for
