All in around 2.6k AUD
Yea..in malaysia most goldens locally bred are golden in colour

But main reason why i got it from aust is because at least i am sure that they are bred properly with hip scores taken into consideration.
Malaysia have too many BYB and puppy farms..

Yeah you are correct, 90% of the breeders here are BYB, puppy mills, i had a hard time looking for a decent breeder. Even if you manage to find a good breeder they'll still over charge you.
I finally gave in and sad/shame to admit got mine from a pet shop. Its been 3 months + looking for a good breeder, i gave up finnaly and admit that its near to impossible to locate those kind of breeders i initally wanted to.

2.6k inclusive of shipping, custom clearance and etc?

What are you feeding him btw?

Yea...inclusive of all that is actually 2.7....
I also went around searching for petshops that do imports..but couldnt find any..found one in singapore..but they wanted to charge me 4-4.5k SGD ..so sourced for breeders myself online..

He hasnt arrived yet..going to be here only 2 weeks later as puppies have to be 3 months before being exported...

Coz the average breeder here in malaysia doesnt care about hip/elbow scores at all before breeding and where their pups go

The australian breeders on the other hand are super serious abt where they place their pups..and health tests( Got a email with 12 questions for me to answer from one breeder, had to call another breeder in australia through the phone)

If anyone is interested can go to dolforums.com.au
see their threads...very interesting for dog lovers

Thats what i call profesional breeders, real dog lovers, who not only care about their dogs health but whom the dogs went to.
And at least they are doing their part in preventing abandoned/ill treated dogs.
My parents GR was a rescued dog, when we brought him home he cant even walk properly his hind legs were wobbling teribbly, it took us near to 6 months so that he could walk properly and now he can stand on his hind legs for 10 secs or so laugh.gif

Btw congratulations on your purchase

No really all golden colour - surprising the ones i see in Ipoh are mostly light beige. Mine is consider darker colour than most of them and he is actually light gold only. smile.gif I prefer darker colour.

I do agree with you that the breeders here don't care about hip/elbow scores at all. Most of them are just breeding them to get quick profit. mad.gif They don't care about quality at all. You can see that a lot of the GR here always has/suffer from HD problems. Some doesn't even look like GR at all.

In fact, some of the "owners" has started asking about my shushu for potential stud. dry.gif
When i rejected them and told them that GR should ideally be breed only when they are about 3 years old and that if i ever breed my shushu, i need to check to make sure he is not suffering from HD, they just laugh at me and said "no lar, >1 year can already. the younger you breed is better". Yah, right! doh.gif I am also sure they don't know anything about HD. shakehead.gif
Really frustrating. rclxub.gif

Btw, congrats on your purchase - the puppy looks beautiful. wub.gif
Do share more photos when he arrives.

Prince pappy,
Have a safe trip and I am sure prince will miss u alot. Give him lots of TLC before you leave!

They are random pet owners. I meet them at the weekly training class.
Based on the conversation, most of them always think of breeding their furkids for money. doh.gif
I guess the training place is a good place to scout/meet "potential" pairing for their dogs. dry.gif
Sometimes, i am a bit annoyed by the attitude, i don't feel like attending the training anymore.

I saw GR puppies available most of the time in ipoh petshops - there is a lot of supply here.
The price is cheap too, but the quality........ sweat.gif

When shushu was between 4 months old to 7 months (ugly stage), I was quite worried too. cry.gif
He look no different from a mongrel. His fur keep shedding until become short short, he was thin and scrawny looking - his body proportion was all out.

My dad was complaining why i spend all the $$ to buy him when he look just like the "wong choi" next door. rclxub.gif (Though he complain but he really sayang shushu also. laugh.gif)
I have to keep showing them the GR pictures saying that shushu will grow to be just like that. Luckily he did....hehe tongue.gif

Kokifung,
I like goldie sleeping picture! wub.gif
