oh is it?if she keep doing that, try to distract her to something else like play with her with ball and train her sit, down etc.
that way, will help to distract her from looking at ur legs as a toy for biting.but it's really normal for pups to be like that coz they're like kids.wanna play...

good job hobbes.glad you made it!
lovely gal,as i said, replace with holistic ones.choose the food that don't contain harmful chemicals/ingredients like corns,by products, meat meal etc.make sure they list down clearly the ingredients like lamb meat, barley etc.
ben's very very hyperactive,playful and now knows sit command.just few times teach him,he got it....now he's asleep.then i can online awhile.hehe

LOL this reminds me of my Fala ..When she was a puppy , she wouldnt let go whats in her mouth , snatching towels , soft toys , cloth materials stuff , but now she's more obedient . When she gets hold on something she will run away at first but when you ask her to 'PUT DOWN' she'll put down . I miss her so much now  sad.gif

Maya another gone case , will not let go no matter what . Give food also wont let go .  shakehead.gif

Hehe ... I still prefer Ben's puppy look in your signature.. So innocent~~  wub.gif wub.gif  wub.gif  But, when Ben sleep in the last photo is dam cute~~  wub.gif  wub.gif  wub.gif   Ben's fur not yet very long or he just got the grooming~~ biggrin.gif

Ben looks bigger in the 1st photo though he is only 4 months old, may be because of near shot...  laugh.gif I must take more Choi Choi puppy's look or else when they grow up doesn't look so innocent liao~~  laugh.gif  laugh.gif

Oh ya... Do your doggie have some blood when they poo... My choi choi got a bit of blood again.. Previously the vet said is because of parasite but then she is feeling better after the medicine, now comes again after the medicine finish~~  icon_question.gif  icon_question.gif  She not eating much again~~  cry.gif cry.gif  Anyone encounter this previously? What's the problem~~ sad.gif
*
thanks oh...ya that time he's only around 2 months plus.he's not yet 4 months but going to be in 3 days time lor.lolz
he looked big coz he follow his parents.both are big bones.summo now he looks skinny coz it's growing stage.during 4 - 7th month,he'll look skinny like malnutrition and will look ugly one.now also he is different than the last time i saw him.last time he had furry fur purely white cream colour.now it's this colour.exactly going to be like his mum's.his dad's fur is dark golden in colour.pretty hard to find this colour around lor.lolz
i m not sure bt choi choi lor whether she'll follow the same stage as ben or not.but taking pictures will come in handy as u can notice the difference in her.

when ben poo, there's no sign of blood.his poo also not smelly but smell nice wor...maybe it's the proformance food i gave him plus the canned food.eat very 'ho liao' food.
i would suggest you get 2nd opinion from other vet and see bt her poo and her health.coz different vets got different opinions and different expertise.some may be good in surgeries, some may be good in skin diseases and other illnesses.

So did you train Fala to PUT DOWN?
I am training Barney now to GIVE but he is damm stubborn and wouldnt let go doh.gif
Each time he steals any thing, he will come to me doh.gif
I had to wrangle it off him, but then i used the exchange trick, it didnt go so well, he still wont wana let go sad.gif
Wah cute wub.gif, hopefully your house reno gona finish ASAP and you can get to see them again
*
i think it's too young to train put down.go slowly.at this time, now my ben also very playful.i need to calm him down by training him to sit b4 giving his treats or his lunch/dinner lor.now he gladly sits down.now i'm training him to give paw and down.when our pups took something n don't want give it to you,it means he wants to play.when u try to take from him,did he like playfully growl softly?if he did, then he wanna play.gently take the toy from him from his mouth ask him to let go,he'll gladly let it go.hehe.hope it helps

Daisy is a GR or LR? How old is she? She looks quite innocent and so guai, let you take the photo.. Not like mine 1... Cannot quiet at all~~ =.=|| This is the so called golden colour, right? ~~ biggrin.gif Hehe...
Hehe.. Pet shop ppl told me the golden colour 1 more expensive and is Australian breed, but i still like creamy colour 1, the colour changed from the creamy to golden, not sure my choi choi will change colour or not, but i can see her colour at the back there is now darker already. I think i will know when she is around ben's age~~ biggrin.gif
*
hmmm....in my opinion,i think dark golden pups are sold more expensive than golden coz they are rare and mostly found in overseas retrievers.like my case, ben's dad is australian, mum is thai.i do feel that his ear colour is getting darker like his dad's.dark golden and golden is totally different.golden is light colour one.dark golden is more like dark reddish with golden.too bad i don't have the pics of them.maybe later on when i pay my breeder a visit when wanna take the mka cert plus transfership form from him....hehe

daisy looks like a LR.short fur but don't know ler.maybe a gr as well...very innocent looking.

Hehe.. the golden that i referred to is the one u said, dark golden ~~ biggrin.gif More expensive as i know but different ppl got different taste, some like dark golden and some like creamy or even dark chocolate, hehehe~~ biggrin.gif
*
golden where got dark choc one..i heard got black lor.but in overseas got lor.icic.for me,if creamer colour also,is during pups stage but sooner or later sure turn colour one.unless u buy a purebreed english retriever.that is purely white.bt sure expensive lor...creamer colour tend to get dirty easily than dark golden.last time ben's sis and him went to play under the bike and kena the oil...ben's pretty obvious while his sis,not so obvious.she's dark golden in colour btq.missed her so much.

not abc..i went to Ipoh city pet centre..confused..so many pet shops duno wan to buy from where..i never go to abc at ipoh garden that side..i go to town area that one

good large breed..can protect me tongue.gif..will it bark?somemore should i buy the chain, soap, toy everything ready before i  get it?should i chain it from the day i buy it??i scare it run away..somemore later it big already..want to chain it..later go bite me
tmr sunday maybe i will be going to abc to buy 'house' for my hamster
*
i suggest u go ipoh garden there and have a look 1st.no hurry to buy right?research as much as u can bt the breed whether r u capable of handling large breed dog.it will bark for a reason.but it's NOT A WATCHDOG NOR PROTECT U unless you trained the pup to be protective of the house etc.but usually in this case, retrievers aren't the best watchdogs.best is rotties, gsd or dobermans.like ben,he only barks when my other dog barks other dogs or when he's hungry.
correction - the word 'chain' is leash.it's best train the pup with the leash when u go for a walk.from the day u bought the pup,ps dun chain him/her up immediately.make a connection with the pup so that he/she gets familiar with the new environment etc.btw, ben's now going to be 4 months in 2 days time.n yet,he is huge for his age right now.so all this u have to ask yourself whether r u capable to handle such a big dog.they're smart but may act dumb.i've been scolding ben many times over n over again for peeing n pooping in the house.if i got the chance,i sure put him out of the hse but due to the current contruction on my front porch,i couldn't let him out as yet.at least till the gates has arrived.it takes patience and time to train them commands, toilet train etc..i rest my case

Labrador is a large breed but they very friendly, but when they are puppy you must train them so that they will listen to you. Sometimes doggy might bite during teething so need to be patience and teach them loo. biggrin.gif

Dog should bark normally, but my choi choi only will bark when she want to play with us =.=|| Naughty gal~ tongue.gif Hehe... i think labrador is quite friendly so i think they won't really bark at stranger except you train them to~ biggrin.gif

You can buy everything at the pet shop there when you buy the dog, you can research it 1st as well... biggrin.gif But, bear in mind, don't buy large pack kibbles 1st, buy a small 1 and let your puppy try 1st, if it likes it then only go for large packet~~ biggrin.gif hope you can get your doggy soon~~ smile.gif
*
bravo lovely gal.you've grown a lot... rclxms.gif
yes, holy cross, the best is train them from young.you can get supplies when you already have the pup or when u purchase it.however, downside of petshops is u dun get to see the pups' parents nor know their genetic history if they have problems with HD etc.thus, taking frm breeders is the best choice and i think u can find pretty a lot of breeders in ipoh.just research as much as u can bt the breed, their temperament whether all these traits can suit you, your family and ur home environment.
my cousin's golden and labs don't bark at strangers instead being utmost extremely friendly.imagine having robbers wanna rob ur house, they are easily fooled by any treats given by the robbers.bear in mind, retreivers love eatings.known for greedy eaters.

in my case, ben is damn friendly to anyone including the contractors doing my house right now.and neighbours as well.he don't bark at all.if u wan a good watchdog,u shud get a gsd or doberman or even a rottie which is better lor.my cousin's labs only bark at strangers and don't bite them.but their barks is powerful solid one...hehe...same as mine too.

Ermmm Pet shop owners who said that dark colour goldens are australian type goldens which are more expensive are bullshitting you.
you shouldnt pay more for darker colour puppies...you should be looking at the health of the pups instead of their colour
So dont get conned...by paying for a supposely premium colour

Golden retriever are quite good watch dogs...my 5 month old retriever puppy is already guarding my house together with my other retriever!

Pictures of my retrievers below...
*
hey tty81,my breeder sell all his pups regardless of colour with same price.but if pet shop,i don't know wor but maybe they can bullshit the customers lo.say it's good etc.
my ben, even though when he's young,he had very white fur, lighter colour on his ears, but at 4 months now,he's leanier, darker fur and darker ears.is that possible?he's 4 months and yet,he doesn't bark at anyone or alert us if there's anything.maybe too early for him coz just brought him back frm my breeder last wed coz my hse under reno ma....anyways,do you feed vitamins to your retrievers?i would like to compliment on your retrievers.they are gorgeous.the pup you bought from aussie is really beautiful.ben's colour used to be like that when he's 6 weeks.but now it's darken already.no matter how dark he is,i still love him. wub.gif guess he's following his dad coz he is dark golden in colour. rclxm9.gif

BigBen: No training classes here in JB that i know of..so i have to train myself..lol.. he is very mischievious.. mock fighting with my grown up retriever all the time..growing up very fast at this stage

insideurheaven:generally a good indicator of what colour your retriever puppies will turn into will be looking at the tips of the ears and tail where the colouring is usually darker. i expect my cream pup to be creamy with a tinge of gold when he grows up.
