btw, juz saw that a few of her nails are black in colour.. is there any possibility of internal bleeding in the nails?
*
she's beautiful.she needs grooming...brushing...if u do it regularly, her tail surely will look fan like....it's not really brushed.
gr nails supposed to be white in colour if ur saying the colour of the nail on the outside.can see the blood vessels easily...

erm, tried washing it.. but still same wor. Gs won't bite rite? haha.. coz currently i don't own a lash and i bring her for walks during the late evening...
*
if can't come out,its ok.they won't bite la..they r the most friendliest dog in the world........
it's better u have a leash just in case if she saw a cat, she'll sure run and chase it.like my ben.now i leash him whenever we go for walks coz he will chase cats...he dislike cats and birds.

lol.. today brought her out for a walk.. she saw a old malay man and she followed him.. so i ran towards her to bring her back.. and guess wat.. the man was starring me like wanna eat me..... shakehead.gif
*
oh i see...hmm...actually i don't seem to understand why malays react such a way lor...i have seen some malays love dogs and have dogs.but most dislike n will cause mischief every night in front of my house making my dogs angry.
best thing, dun let her follow anyone la...later they say we call the dog to bite them etc....put her on the leash.that way u can control her.

hi... i had a golden name harry .. about 5~6months old now .. want to ask those si fu here.. any recommended suppliement is good for the hair??because i am keeping in outdoor.. worry about his hairs will not get longer.... or he still is consider young now..thankyou..
*
hey there...congrats on having a gr. well, when ben was 5 to 6 months old,his fur didn't grow long like now.short like the labs.tail also dont have the fan shape. if wanna have him to have good shiny fur, give him fatty acids (cod liver oil) or the cod liver oil capsules like we humans take. (4 caps per day).u can see the fur shiny in few weeks.smile.gif
he is definitely young now.when he is full grown,he'll be a nice handsome boy.do give him multi vitamins as well which u can purchase from the vet.diff vets sells diff supplements.do check with them which is proper.also, when harry is still in progress of growing up,give him calcium supplement which helps to make his bones stronger.we don't want to see our dogs leading to HD or any health problems rite?

Actually i dont really give my Dogs any supplements. Just good quality kibbles and meat . Generally the kibbles provide sufficient nutrients.

Your dog will grow to their full size when they reach maturity ard 2 years old. their fur will also grow longer as they mature..
*
hey tty, really don't need to give supplements? what kibbles u give them?im givin eagle pack.ben's got a weak leg.diagnosed by the vet he has one long and one short hind leg. that is why he limps.so im giving him calcium everyday to make his legs strong...

Feeding them orijen at the moment...

If your dog is healthy and you give them a balanced diet, i dont see why you need to give them any supplements unless the vet advised you to do so..
*
yeah,he's healthy but limping n walk with three legs only.the vet advised me to give supplements.his limp leg don't really have muscle so have to let him get exercise

Hi insideurheaven
How come your dog limping what happening to his back leg he hurt himself ka?
very sad to see GR with leg problem and HD

Richer693
if your dog is healthy don't need supplement unless problem moreover your dog only 5-6months.. my Big Ben when running to me step on my leg will get blue black and pain

Hi TTY81
i shift my dog kibbles from Royal Cannie to Eukanuba Custom Care Sensitive Skin... Big Ben use to have hair shedding alot and now can say very good after taking 3 month shedding very less and hair look nicer. Big Ben don't have skin problem but shedding only
*
not HD.its his bones..one is short.the other is normal.did x ray dy.vet say cant do anything unless make him exercise so tat he make use of his leg.he seems better now but occasionally he'll limp.vet said this will appear when he's bt 6-7 months.its a genetic disorder.i asked my breeder n he checked ben's dad n mum no problem.it may due from past generations.hhe wouldn't know too...

lol a friendster for Julio Almighty.. haha... maybe i shall start 1 for my glider, 1 for my GR and 1 for my hedgehog  tongue.gif

anyway.. juz wondering can i feed my GR with chicken feet because i've come across some posts where it says that chicken and pig bone aren't save for dogs as their chicken and pig bone are brittle. lastly is coconut water and fruits like tomato , banana, apple are safe? (seeds all removed)
*
hey ya....well,for me,i don't feel uncomfortable giving ben chicken feet ler...coz all the fats and no meat there..usually my family won't give our dogs chicken feet.we usually gve them chicken meat.
besides,im not sure bt tomato.but i do give banana, apples, papayas, orange, mango(occasionally),durian(occasionally).sometims i do give yoghurt too.

Today feel so bad and mad....

This morning BigBen involve in a fight with a doberman la.... and BigBen leave 4 hole in the doberman ear bleeding .. aiya very sad for my friend dog.
I though GR a stupid dog don know how to fight when come to human he fine when to dog he really like dog killer even small breed dog he never give way and 1 time in the park he attack a small puppy Husky hardly 3 month lucky not hurt separate fast enough.
For those whose GR always fear when seeing others dog passing your house better be careful the GR is jealous looking for a chance to attack that dog.
*
wahhhhhhhhhhh.....how come ben so ganas one?well,my ben also sometimes look at the stray dog outside and will bark non stop.but when i take him out for walk, when he sees dog,he'll make his escape first.coz some dogs are more aggressive than him.wouldn't want to harm anyone or himself.so far,ben didn't bite or fight with any dogs he make friends with like neighbors' dogs.

but i need help to train a rottweiler.she's 11months old and doesn't know how to behave.trained her when young but then she developed mange and js fully recovered last month.she's now very active.even though make barriers at the side garden so as to not go to the front coz she bites all letters, jumps on us upon reaching home.js dunno how to train her again coz when she's sick, she became very less active coz she spend most of her time scratching.now she's more like a 1 yr old kid will touch things that can break in the house... cry.gif

I also don know what had happen to him. now 1 week oledi he don want to eat anything only water. look like the weather is changing him. and now if i buy him soft toy he will tear up within 10 sec. rclxub.gif
Good your Ben still can walk with you like my BigBen problem la when i walk him and see other dog whatever dog big or small he lower his head ready to attack. My dog very easy get jealous of other dog passby and when he angry stand up on the fence all the fur around his neck and chest stand up like lion.
Your rotty have to control give her something that can control her like a cane and your hand you have to use something to beat her to let her know only that thing can control.
*
yeah,i think it's the weather.ben is a indoor dog when i haven't got a job la..now outdoors...except on certain days when my brother does not have college classes, then he gets to stay in.did u walk Bigben with a harness?i js bought one last sunday and ben is certainly going well with it.i get better grip of him than js with the leash.

roxy is pretty tough.she's huge and when we show her anything like a cane, she will bark and then jump and snatch it away from us.she's damn smart and full of mischiefs.dunno wat to do with her.

some dogs r like tat... to me it looks more like, they have guts to bark behind any fences... but when they're out they sometime turns to coward..or for better statement, they 'behave'//lol
or they know they need to guard house tats y bark inside the house only... tongue.gif
the small sharp pieces cant be cooked untill soft ?
*
i believe ben is not a coward.maybe js being protective over me.maybe...

sometime i walk him without using leash but i holding it in my hand and let him free but now dare not la.... if your dog is huge and strong don't use the short leash very dangerous you fall off very easy use the longer one better control.
But at home BigBen bully by my JRT dare go near the food when JRT eating la....  rclxub.gif
*
hehe...i did let ben go n pee but with me watching outside for him.scared la if ppl nabbed him.heard many dog napping cases happening now...
i worry bt roxy only.she's strong and can jump on us lor....dunno what to do with her.ben is alright.he knows how to behave.

maybe you should consult another vet to seek another opinion..it's rare to see a pup with a tail like this.ben's tail was pretty long when he's a pup...it's js a suggestion.up to you to decide.
