Hi everyone,

I recently bought a new property in Selangor and unfortunately discovered manyyyyyyy defects after handover. I'm feeling a bit lost on the process for getting these repairs done.

I found this comprehensive guide that outlines the steps involved in handling defect repairs: [Slow Defect by developer step by step].

Does anyone have any additional tips or recommendations based on their own experiences?

Thanks in advance!

Focus on big ticket items, like water proofing, piping, leaking..

No need being pushy the small things that maybe can fix during renovation

During the 24 months dont do any renovations, because that will make your defects liability void ..

Carry out tile hollow test ..just use screw driver and tap on each tiles both walls and floor tiles, any hollow sound you mark the spot using marker ...test all water outlets, pour water and see if the water flows out at reasonable rate, most of time the pipes are chocked with cements. also pour water on your bathroom floor and check if any ponding of water , due to uneven floor or no screed to fall toward outlet.
