Using tefal small rice cooker which can accommodate small size family. Been whacking the rice cooker for about 5 years.

No sign of wear off yet. Since I carefully wash the pot wall and maintain the rice cooker in good condition.

I guess if you wash the pot yourself and not leave it to a helper, the danger is somewhat lessened.... helpers may not exercise the same care and all they care about is to finish the job ASAP so they can flip through their facebook pages.

Yes I wash all my utensils and cookware myself.

1L cukup for smol pax. If big family then only get big L model. It has been around for quite a number of years w me. Thicc inner pot confirm cook rice cun.

Is this one still made in Japan, or farmed out to Thailand/China?

Been using Xiaomi Mijia IH 4L Rice cooker for 2 years. Can prepare rice in the morning then set schedule via button or mi home app to get a freshly cooked rice when arrive home.

The rice pot itself is heavy and thick.

Don't get any of those with non-stick coating. The reason TS said the coating is gone is because a little of it leeches out with every use.
Over the years, you're just eating chemical coating. Get one that has a stainless steel pot. Don't use metal wire brush when cleaning and it can last many years.
They're not that expensive nowadays.

You can adjust the doneness of the rice using the app. Rice cooked perfectly everytime.

Personally uses Xiaomi 1.6L rice cooker...really non stick and easy to use and maintain
