just secured a placement in wisma standard chartered bukit jalil. i live in far east of malaysia so need to find place to rent. i’m wondering though what would be the most cost-effective way to commute to wisma sc? cuz initially i wanted to find rental house around taman teknologi so i can just drive to get to the office. however i just learned that the parking rate is around rm8 per day and on top of that, the congestion there is apparently pretty bad. so i thought of renting outside of bukit jalil and was thinking to commute via public transport instead. but then i also just learned that theres no mrt station nearby.
so what would be the best choice to commute to the office? this is important because this will decide my rental location as well.

Rent near an LRT Station. Pretend you are a uni student and take the free bus from Bukit Jalil station to APU

You can try to engage with swing and pillows https://swingandpillows.com/kuala-lumpur/They exclude deposit but in return gotta pay monthly insurance. But expect monthly to be about 800 to 900 but u get your own bathroom. Co living concept and fully furnish kind. As to commute, LRT to bukit jalil stadium or Sri pealing but there is some extension station too etc Maluri can be your centre point as can interchange with mrt This post has been edited by shadowglow: Jul 1 2024, 02:03 AM

AFAIK, nope, you don’t have any public transport remotely near to there.
As mentioned above. There’s private APU bus passing nearby though. But I don’t see the possibility of getting to use it while not been APU students.
Try ask around from your company or colleague if there’s any cheaper parking for staffs or if at least it’s claimable.
As for jam, it will jam if you’re coming from KL or Bukit Jalil side, but nothing too unbearable.
Though if you’re coming from Bukit Serdang, you should be able to reach in 5mins through TeknologyPark side even on peak hour.

T580) to TPM carpark (KL2009) connect to LRT Bukit Jalil / LRT Awan Besar https://myrapid.com.my/route/?agency=rapidkl&route_id=T5800This post has been edited by kelvinng92: Jul 1 2024, 09:12 AM

I used to walk 2km to TPM daily for work last time. But man stanchart is way further in, double the distance. I think best you can do is Grabcar from LRT bukit jalil.

Nowadays so convenient.

Rent at one South area abit pricy n walk together with the park guards to work. It's within walking distance

I think best you can do is Grabcar from LRT bukit jalil. Closest MRT is Serdang Perdana Utara. Station is a cross the road from. One South Street mall. Many many pricey apartment there. One cheaper go south city icty n the MRT station is also across the road. Serdang Perdana South Station.

Rent at PPA1M Bukit Jalil. Is the nearest and rent also cheap over there. Not sure got back gate or not. If got back gate then 1km+ to office. If not then further walk from the front.

your work place is best to have a car, and is nice to have one for KL. for some perspective, parking in KL city center is 10rm-15rm a day. unless you are management and get discounted or free office parking. maybe you can get monthly rate ?
