Hi everyone, I am not sure what the problem is, after I turned on my Acson air conditioner (1.0HP), few minutes later, it started blowing non cold air, and I noticed there's an orange light on the AC unit starts blinking. Then I turned off the AC for a while and turned it back on, the problem disappears.

Should I get a technician to come check? If so, can anyone recommend an affordable one for someone that lives in KL condo area?

different manufacturer program differently… i think your air con is working normal.. first, the fan will start, then the compressor will start, a little while cold air will start..
just let it start 5 minutes and see if the light goes away

my panasonic, starts , but will wait awhile, then starts to blow only cold air..

For now, it is working normally, I am only bringing this up because this happen several times out of the 4 years I have been using this aircond unit.

It does not happen very often, I would say maybe once or twice a month, but everytime I turn off and turn the AC back on, the problem is gone.

So I looked up online for solutions, they said it could be a refrigerant or compressor problem, which I am not sure what it means.

May I ask if you also have the 'orange light blinking' situation?

for panasonic, it starts blue, continues awhile, turns orange ( perhaps temperature reached).. then blue again… every now and then will alternate orange/blue but coolness, same

I have never serviced it before. By condenser fins, you are referring to the row of vertical edges looking thing behind the air filter? If so then yes I clean it once or twice a month with a soft brush.

Sorry I am bad with terminologies, but you are referring to the big fan thing right? I live very high up in the condo unit, and that thing is placed right outside my window, I don't have the courage to crawl up the window and clean it, so no I have never clean the fins before.

Similar error on Acson air-conditioned last year. Orange blinking light came on occasionally then one day it stopped working. I assumed its the thermostat so bought one online to have it replace but to no avail. Ended up the issue is due to circuit board. Since it's 6-7 years old, decided to replace entire system.
