if i just want to produce 3D pictures instead of 3D moving renders, do I still need a powerful rigs?? coz at the moment I can't afford to get a better machine...

sorry for the noob question... well i can't really know how to make a line to a 3D object.... For a simple example a straight line into a cyclinder. (in 3DS Max)

oh.. ok... different types have to use different ways... right? for example if we want to make a cup from a line, we use lathe, and if make a box from a plane, we use extrude... right?
