I am a student and i am interested to do some 3D stuffs, however i dunno where & how to start.

After i read around 30+ pages in this topic, i found out there are quite a numbers of software to use like Autodesk 3ds max, Autodesk maya, Blender, Daz studio...etc etc

and i also found out there are something call rendering stuffs like V-Ray...can i know what does this rendering stuff do??

So i wanna ask for you all recommendation for newbie beginner like me to start off...

What kind of student and course are you taking? And what kind of 3d do you plan to build?
You can try 3ds max first... Once u are more familiar with the modeling technique and the basic then u can try the vray plug in to have a more realistic material and final rendering. Feel free to ask me if u need any guide smile.gif

A good start will be training program like Lynda.com they provide very good training and is really interesting to follow... I wish I have the time to follow more training on other software as well. But unfortunately I'm too tie up with my jobs already ....
