why not try lighwave

what i had in mind was for animating purposes not modelling or rendering...i know lightwave's modelling and rendering tools are on par with other "expensive" 3d software...but animation? hmmm...

xsi pretty cool, use it b4, ive almost modelled a glock, then my pc broke, lost the save file

Anyway Xsi I have played with it before, seems like a great promise, but I only touched it lightly, can't tell if it's better or worse. Still, with the ability to mimic Maya's panels and all, why not give it a try?

I've used it before (version 8 I think), it's a great 3D app, IMHO.
You can order Cinema4D from MaxonShop as they are no distributors here in Malaysia. The Malaysian distributor is located in Singapore.

anyways guys... anyone here good at modelling cars?

I think I have perfected rendering pictures that can fit into real life situations (i.e for shooting movie purposes).. and so I wanna do a test run by making a car chase scene.

Problem is... I suck at modelling... and my modellers are well.. currently unavailable.

i heard softimage xsi is the most affordable 3d package for entry level...anybody how much is it in malaysia...not sure if there's a reseller or not in malaysia...
