If the pics are the stages of the modelling phases, then its strange. U always model symetrical figure from one side, then mirror it to the other side. Then u pose it.

mental ray? i hate the noisy gradient, especially when rendering glass. lol.

anyway, how do we map motion graphics on a plane? like for instance, i make an interface for a phone, and i map the image in the screen.
but instead i want the image to animate just like a real screen. do i map in .gif file or, um, video file?. lol, i have no idea what im talking about.

I guess I know what you mean.
I have 1 friend was trying to show that to me previously. However, he forgot something in between. LOL.
So, I can't show you how to do it right now.

By the way, that's not Mental Ray but V-Ray on Autodesk Maya.
I don't have problem on strange grains noise gradient on glass rendering(on both mental-ray and v-ray).

Example:

U can easily get rid of noise in rendering by yankin up the lights and refraction subdivision and sample.

Looks like 3D but the progress of making it doesn't look like one. Feel more like 2D paint progress (if so then nice).

Yup.

& with some adjustment especially on Anisotropic filtering(AF) setup.Greatly improving the overall feel & the material itself,& less noise=fast rendering.

BTW,here is my new work....

Nice work you got there KFC & 3dasset.
Hope to see it finished soon.

BTW,what you use to compile a video after full time rendering?
I only use Window vids editor which is laggy(cant have more than 0.003 sec for each pic) & the quality offered for fully compile video also bad(only offered with basic format & quality reduced...damnn! )

The best to start learning 3D is to just start it. Get used to its Interface and start exploring creative model with primitive shapes.. What software u intend to start?? Ive been Using Rhino for 4 years i guess?? Theres a lot going on when you do different things. and i just started with 3ds max couple weeks ago. Tutorial you can get from the internet and youtube. but for me,the best way to start is with good friends to advice, morale support and to challenge. good Luck icon_idea.gif
