everytime i visit a snowy country, i will see tourists (including adults) playing with snow

but the locals will hide away in their house

of coz in the long run, u will find winter to be troublesome and annoying

interestingly, i spoke with one local (during winter) saying winter is his favourite season because he can do skiiing. So again it's up to individuals.

Winter with ice and snow means slippery surface. You know how stressful it is walking uphill when it's slippery?

no. slippery roads and wet mud. will definitely cull all the bad drivers but thats the only positive.

Lots of people went for a winter holiday 3 days, saw some snow, then come back say they love winter.. Stay there a month see if they'd still love it or not..
Regular nosebleeds, running nose, dry skin and the hassle of wearing many layers of clothes to keep warm and the hassle to go toilet.

I'm a sucker for cold so winter like Hokkaido is always welcomed!

At +19 C Scandinavians put on swimming trunks, bikinis and go to the beach. Kids swim, most adults probably think too cold. Typical summer temperature .
