so I see this Anytime Fitness franchise growing like mushroom alongside Believe Fitness, both are with the concept of 24/7 operating model
I want to know the Anytime Fitness membership, do they have something similar to Celebrity / Fitness First model where VIP tier can access all clubs under the brand?
And what would be the pricing
also any feedback on the gym facilities? For CF recently their equipments are dated, obsolete, dirty, and undermaintained for most of their locations

There is only one membership tier which allows you to access all clubs worldwide. I signed up at the Megah Rise branch when they were offering pre-opening discounts, my monthly fee is RM169. You'll have to pay around RM200 for the key fob.
Equipment-wise, the newer the club the better as usual. I shuttle between Megah Rise and Manulife (now closed, moving to DC Mall) and I can notice the difference in equipment.

Is Rm169 consider high for a gym membership ? A non gym goer here.

i read got tered about anytime fitness at this other sub tered heard when u want u terminate or discontinue membership really pain in the arse
1st is early bird ( for new branch ) : RM156 2nd tier after they reached certain amount of registration members price slightly will increase RM169 3rd tier then rm179 around there.
eqipment wise they use fitness technogym and fitness first brand for new branch almost everything new and even old branch also equipment still better because they service frequently
joined before covid hit then quit then now thinking about joining back its kinda ok the branch near me is very small and i didnt really like how it doesnt have certain machines that i want to use during rush hour its gonna be packed like shit since its also in a very central area i spoke to them last week to ask about the membership and they told me ur membership can even give u access to SG's anytime fitness gym but diff gym have diff price so if u sign up with the small gym and its cheaper but keep going to the bigger gym at another location then they will start to charge you more by changing ur home gym so u cant game the system other than that i dont think there is any issue with it just that the staff is honestly kinda action lol i dont like it but they didnt really bother me much just that when i need help, they are the first one to disappear i cant remember if its hard to cancel the membership or not but i felt like i had to do some stupid shit like sending a snail mail or something to cancel it i would totally bill it to a disposable debit card this time if i were to rejoin again
It's good equipment wise. I'm satisfied. Only complain is not enough barbells. They have have at least 2 sets of same barbells as some members do superset dropsets and sapu everything ... I'm paying rm200
what's considered a good gym in malaysia? what type of machines and which brand?
too vague le
like for me i consider it good enough if there are enough squat rack and dumbells up to 60kg to use. theres alot of exercises can be done with just barbell and dumbbells
but to others they consider addition of classes, running machines, shower, sauna etc you get the idea

mine goes up to 40. not like i can use them anyway. i can't imagine myself being able to use 60kg for incline db press with full range of motion and slow eccentric. my arms will be ripped off my body.
only subscribe membership when the branch near u (which will be your main branch) is opening soon or under renovation coz got discounted price
if u move around, then subscribe any branch with discounted price and make sure you dont visit 1 particular branch (other than your main branch) more than 40-50% of total visits per month, coz they will charge u membership price based on normal price instead of the discounted price u signed up

hehe i know what you meant, i tried 28kg incline dumbbell for 5x5 and i feel like wtf already
heavier DB is quite nicer to hold to do goblet squats tho

I miss Gorgeous Fitness of Bukit Tinggi Klang. That building was purpose made for gym. 5 Dedicated floors for different workouts, spin, zumba, yoga, strenght, they even have a rooftop jacuzzi and steamroom. Sadly the franchise bungkus kaw kaw without notice and I even saw some disgruntled members drag away a treadmill with their car.

Ayoooooooooo Buy weights use forever Save so muccch ¢¢¢¢¢
If you are disciplined sure. I am not. I will just say let me workout later since it’s at home anyway and then what happens? Later become tomorrow then never. Now I go on a schedule every week 3 or 4 days.
Few years ago I got one friend ask me to help him train. So I just show him the correct technique and help him spot a bit.
Niama got one PT walk over to me and said no personal training allowed. I told him I'm not personal training, just help him spot je. Fucker say cannot all sort of lanciao excuse. I argue with him until dulan and throw the 25 KG dumbell on the floor.

It's already stated as terms and conditions. Actually most gyms have this rule, I'm case of mishap happens in their gyms, they don't want to be liable for non-advocated PT.
