Currently, we are using a mobile hotspot to run the Zoom meeting, usually attended by 20+ people every session. It's actually a hybrid meeting, some will attend physically at the shop lot, and some attend online. The connection tends to be very poorat times and not clear for the online audience.

1 option we are considering now is to check with our neighbour if we can rent their wifi, because we only use it for 3 nights (3 hours each)

Is there any other option that are available from telco that may suit our needs?

Something cheap and portable. are those thumbdrive broadband still available?

5g broadband perhaps? Umobile and YES are offering good pricing if you take the sim only option. You have to buy the router yourself which could be quite costly.

The 5g broadband plans are basically the evolution of those old usb modem plans from those years gone by

if your place has good 5g coverage, its a good choice

starts at rm58 for yes's plan, rm68 for umobile's and more for maxis/celcomdigi

the expensive part is the router though, those start at rm500 and only go up

umobile provides one for the same plan price if you sign a 2 year contract, while the other telcos want more for the router

well at least its portable so for the rest of the months you can use it elsewhere  tongue.gif

Some argue what is the difference with the current setup, its still sim based internet.
Im sure using a router should be much more stable and efficient versus using a phone.

I saw some wifi sim routers for like rm80-100, with high numbers of sales - should be legit right?
