How long u take to transfer name from a old landed residential property (with will) to your name?
-Already have Grant of probate.

Any sifu have experience? the property is in Selangor,Subang jaya.

my experience, less than 3 month

surely...but the lawyer takes longer then usual time to do, that why

do u involve the step old grant change to new grant?

meaning getting new grant with your name on it?

can range from less 3 month to 6 month... see how efficient the people in the land office does their work & no PH in between to "disturb" the process...

Got many factors that determine the length of time for transfer of property such as:-

If property leasehold/freehold - leasehold may need apply consent
Title currently under developer name or purchaser name - may need direct transfer
Property still under charge with bank?

Best consult your lawyer to ask this questions and get a timeline from them.

As the above post mentioned, each case will depend on the which land office, whether consent needed, yes whether need to change old title to new title etc. etc. Can't just put a general statement and expect all cases to be the same.

My experience, around 3 months, also subang jaya area and end of 2023 , mine is freehols, so should be good reference to you.

From grant of coz, will be longer if stuck at probate

I am sorry, i just realise it is under probate, i didnt read it properly i tot you are buying a new house in USJ area because i saw your post last few months.

For inherit unit with Will, last time i heard my lawyer said also around 3 months after GP, similar to standard name transfer after GP.

But the way, your lawyer should advise you on the procedure, if taking too long, you may consilt other lawyer, since most of members here are not a lawyer.
