Very few runcit open until 11:30. Speedmart until 10 only. So after 10 can consider he monopoly already, given convenient store price can't beat him.

I knew a relative her sundry shop very ulu in Sarawak but because of shop location facing right in front of river dock where passenger alight, it can generate circa ~20k a day!

He said his expenses was around 9k a month.. and he can pocket around 12-15k a month.

So the total revenue for the sundry shop is around 20k- 30k+... Which is normal.

That timing is cashier buka/ tutup hour je, i believe at certain days his work starts earlier for deliveries, stocks taking, pricing, restock to racks just like eateries, f&b hawkers a lot of work behind the business hours

This arrangement, I too believe he sendiri pau keh liow, maybe only employ a part time or none at all
