Yes. Old games and movies. Also game soundtracks for collection purposes since most of stuff uploaded on Youtube keep getting deleted.

Still plenty of place/work without good internet connection. As example working on board seagoing vessel.

Stream videos quality like shit because of compression artifacts .
Even if I use RTX video enhancement option, only anime looks okay, others look like crap.
At least , if you torrent, there are options for much higher image quality.

Torrent is not only fun but a great way to collect old TV series or ultra rare files or games.

Those who don't torrent will miss out a LOT! Socmed is NOT everything when going online u know.

Not to mention preservation of media for future generations. These corporations don't keep good backups of their own media and if they go bankrupt or format their old computers then it's all gone. I remember reading about a movie where everything was gone except for this one copy that one of their staff transferred over to her personal drives so she could work on it at home. There's also some really old anime/shows out there that have gone extinct now because nobody downloaded and seeded them.

Torrent is bestest for us old school techies when wanna find movies.

Sometimes the official subs are trash. There's certain assurance that your saved videos for example will play the want you intend then to be, rather than in-app offline features as found in YouTube.

There are still many reasons why having the physical files are necessary and makes more sense.

There's nothing self righteous about you contributing to already ultra rich mega corporations which franchises their licenses to other rich platform which can afford to buy the movie/series license in order to get more rich. TV shows can use eztv. I think the latest domain is dot ag.

I'm also a hardcore Stephen Chow fan. Last time when I was still a kiddo, such a big fan of Stephen Chow that I fork out to buy almost full collection of Stephen Chow movies from Speedy Videos in VCD format which at that time is the latest before few years later DVD starting come out. I put them nicely in those VCD folder collection and paste label in front of it Stephen Chow 1 / 2 / 3 .

Anyways wish they remaster his old movies in HD format haiz.

It depends. If I'm on the app itself, I don't need to do much. I only gotta choose which film I want to watch, it'll pull the streams off certain sites and I'll just have to start streaming based on the list of links shown.

When I'm not on the app, I just search for whichever I want to watch, copy magnet link, paste into a DDL converter (paid service tho) and stream it.

It does sound complexed/lots of hassle but so long I get to arrrrrrrrr, I don't wanna complain
