import duty on shipped macbook?

Computers and computer items are not taxed, even when shipped. I've had stuff sent from overseas before, when declared as computer items they're not taxed.
Unless you're getting the Macbook really cheap ie. closeout or refurb, aren't you spending more on the computer price + shipping though? Or are you shipping via USPS (bad choice!)?
