i remember seeing (while waiting for luggage @ klia) a sign that showed things you have to pay duty on, computers are on the 'no taxes paid' section - golf balls are not, as are typewriters
wondering if it is the same on items shipped?

QUOTE(tishaban @ Nov 1 2007, 09:31 PM) Computers and computer items are not taxed, even when shipped. I've had stuff sent from overseas before, when declared as computer items they're not taxed. i don't have to pay for shipping, family member is already sending a package. the best 2nd hand price i have been able to find on a c2d macbook locally is 3000 rm - i figure pay little bit more for a new one.Unless you're getting the Macbook really cheap ie. closeout or refurb, aren't you spending more on the computer price + shipping though? Or are you shipping via USPS (bad choice!)? good news then, thanks! |
