Aircond insulation

I noticed some area dont have the insulation pipe whereas i see other aircond the whole pipe cover with insulation, is below normal?

I suspect insulation is there just that the tape windings are tight and looked like there is no insulation...
If bare copper + wire should be way thinner... |
