Sometimes when I drop from 5G to 4G, I lose all data connectivity.

Seems to only happen on Yes, not on Maxis.

That's crazy lot of data - I think I will activate it during CNY period when I am not able to use home internet.

Useful for CNY celebration.

Just received their free ‘test drive’ esim for testing. It works well for my suburban area in Cheras on 4G. My (esim) phone can also connect to 5G but my 4G USB modem won’t be.

I think I will order a proper physical sim card to put in my 4G USB wifi for the 50GB/mo package. Won’t be using much outside for traveling based on what I can gather in this forum.

The old Kasi Up plan also can lock to B28.

Update:

Just received the actual physical sim to put in my no-name 4G usb modem (for home use).

Speed around 8-12mbps. Still testing around with Band 20/38/40. Found B38 works best in my Cheras area so far.

Worth to mention how I appreciate the Yes app allowing multiple sim management via a dropdown menu. Hotlink app doesn't offer that, which is kinda ridiculous.

Been on this ft5g 2 months. I didn't use much data so already snowballs to 66GB. If I keep renewing monthly, the rollover continues. Is there a maximum cap to rollover?

FT5G 20 seems very cheap plan. But seem like Yes always got complaint of bad line. I remember Umobile last time cheapest prepaid plan with data, but line also not as good as celcom, digi, maxis. Is this still true? or is Yes better now?

Always test using dummy PRE-paid SIM card to know the truth...most probably, the conclusion is "throw the SIM after 30 days usage and never look back at Yeoh Tiong Lay telco..."

Seem like YES takeover DNB. I can make call on all DNB coverage area whether on 4G B28 or 5G N78. The 5G will not drop to 4G while on call.

Probably for areas without Yes native 4G coverage... tried here and calls still won't go through B28
