Ok guys, if you've bought the game at launch like me and hated it or read about how it was at launch, i m pretty sure that you know D4 bad.

the devs were arrogant and refused to listen to the feedback that the passionate community gave freely. but now they've humbled themselves and listened to feedback D4 is seriously good right now.

if you own the game, you seriously should come back and try out how the game is like right now.

if you're new you still have an option, in fact a better option than what most of the older players had.

you can actually go on steam and "buy" the game there. steam has a very lenient 2 hour full refund policy.

in a sense its a very strict policy because even blizzard has to abide by this policy.

i've refunded a huge number of games on steam before. as long as you dont hit the 2 hour mark, you can easily refund it.

thus, you can buy the game, try it for 1 hour plus, see if you like it. if you dont, simply refund it.

oh and you also have the option to skip the campaign now.



for the older players that own d4 on bnet, blizz is being shitty by not allowing us to port over to steam as they treat steam as a "different console".

anyway, a NEW EXPANSION has been announced with a new class

along with the expansion base game players are now given free pet dogs that follow you around and automatically collect gold/material loot for you. (LIVE in base game right now) but you need to go to town and complete a small quest to claim the good boi.

hype hype!

diablo.trade it will require you to link to you bnet profile to verify your ID. i've bought a few things from players using it (not RMT)

The game got frequently discounted on Steam. Maybe can wait next steam sale.

before season 1 i got to 70 ish then got real bored.

now i have 1 level 100 on season, one 90, and leveling a new character right now

PRO TIP, for this season if you farm helltides you can earn seasonal "iron wolf reputation". the iron wolves will then give you rewards based on this progress. USE the caches whenever you unlock them. DO NOT SAVE. the rewards are balanced around when you are expected to receive them.

also, this is CHARACTER locked. so if you reroll you need to start all over again. that might sound grindy but its actually a huge benefit. if you reach max reputation, the final reward includes a resplendant shard. if you create another 3 characters and max all of their iron wolf rep, you will have 4 resplendents. which can then be used to craft ANY UBER UNIQUE of your choice.

the iron wolves really help with your gearing alot

also dont forget to use the elixirs. if you see any holy bolt/momentum elixirs, dont be stingy and just use them. they last for a good 30 minutes iirc, and provides xp bonus among other things. they are also season locked so by the end of the season they will be poofed/deleted. so just use em.

to be frank blizzard is the most stingiest company

IF you see d4 on discount GET IT. blizzard almost never gives a discount on their games and usually at most its a puny 10-15% discount.

d4 got heavily discounted for ONE reason.

D4 bad. it was really bad and they needed to push their sales.

i imagine blizz will be stingy again and you will rarely see it on sale again or the discount will just be a small amount

that said, blizz could be using a different strategy now. where they CAN put it on discount because they sell microtransactions.

you can see how many times this game got discounted on Steam this year alone

been a fan since DII, then loop back to DI; and played more than 200 hours on DIII

bought D-IV last month at RM150 which is 50% discount on PS; and now expansion pack announced which cost RM250.

to be honest, the end game progression here is fun.

gonna spend like few hundred hours on this D-IV.

nowadays diablo clones are based around seasons rather than the traditional "eternal realm/permanent realms".

if you dont care for seasonal content, there really is no real reason to buy d4 expansion at full price


if you are an eternal realmer and dont care about seasonal realms. then GET THE EXPANSION NOW!

why?

in the latest expansion, blizzard introduced a new class that is really OP. its literally broken. its doing 1million percent more dps than any other class.

if you like playing eternal realms, get the expansion and use this class to blast thru the hardest content in the game and farm up materials like crazy!

if you play seasonal content, the next season does look interesting.

waiting for discount all depends on your level of FOMO.

if you can wait, wait.

as for me, i ve currently entirely given up on the game as i m thoroughly disgusted with how OP the spiritborn is. blizzard intentionally is not fixing the exploits that cause this huge dps increase as theyre actually listening to player feedback. and most players have informed blizzard not to make any drastic rebalancing mid season.

thus the game balance is fucked. there literally is no reason to play a different class when spiritborn is overwhelmingly better.

that said, the spiritborn will be patched up next season so if you want to experience this crazy amount of power, buy it and experience it as soon as you can.

personally i've skipped the expansion entirely and have sworn off blizzard.

d4 was my "last chance" for blizzard. s4 really saw a lot of promise, but the latest expansion made me feel they dont know what the fuck theyre doing. they've lost this decades long fan permanently.

currently hyped for path of exile 2.

Anyone play using Time Dotcom? I'm on D3 but very bad lag.
150ms even in town doing nothing. can't even play properly at GR100++
so I'm skeptical of getting D4 due to high latency.
