Just bought poco x6 pro for my mom during 6.6 sales. Really good phone, 120hz amoled screen with stereo speakers. Damn really good value for the price. 1k for 8gb ram/256gb storage

Downside ada ads on few apps and phone temperature kinda hot at times

Camera sucks , rest no complain

I got the poco x6 pro a couple of months back, the 12 + 512 gb ram model.

I has been using samsung note10 plus since 5-6 years until now. So far only weaker battery issue and sometimes camera shaky.

In general yes, top of the line Samsung can last 5+ years, iPong can last 7+ years in my experience. China phone for me max use 3-5 years only, my Poco F3 light use also motherboard issue habis lol.

suggest checking out their forums before purchasing. newer gen samsung phones (especially note series), seemed to be prone to green line issues. (very common now)
was talking to mobile phone shop staff and they mentioned several of their newer display phones, once updated also appear green line.

until samsung comes out and openly addresses the issue I guess you'll be betting on luck with a 4-5k phone getting a green line in the first 2 months or 2 weeks after your warranty is over.


those mentioned earlier are within TS budget.
pixel is expensive, no official store in msia therefore no warranty here.
but today's mobile phone i think will go nuts in 2-3 years, so warranty is an extremely important factor to consider. therefore, wouldn't recommend

i don't know much about nothing phone.

i think it's common for phones in this price range to encounter major hardware issues in 2nd-4th year. planned obsolescence.
from my own exp,
poco died sudden death after motherboard kong. one plus half dead due to batt. pixel didn't really die but too expensive to repair the screen. xiaomi easily overheat.
plus other brand around same price, also similar issues.

i think the most stable one out there are older gen samsung and apple. but those are kinda premium range already

You won't find anything with better spec than F6 for rm1500

True, the IP68 rating, 2 Year Warranty, 4 years OS upgrades + 5 years security updates, triple Leica camera setup. Not even the Poco and Redmi series of this year managed to beat the Xiaomi 13T in terms of great hardware at great price under RM2000.

But at the moment, if best phone strictly under RM1500, get the iQOO Z9~

I got a Samsung Galaxy A15 5G for fun this year (free with telco package) and played around with the phone as a daily driver.
256GB storage, 2 Year warranty, 5000mAh battery + 25W charging, 4 years Android updates, 5 years security updates, and 90Hz AMOLED.

I found it to be quite great to use, actually love using it even with the Dimensity 6100+ processor, considering its unofficial RRP of RM500-RM600 (like new in Facebook Marketplace, Carousell).

The biggest downside is the resale value of the A15 5G lol, RM1099 official RRP dropped to around RM500 unofficially in less than 3 months. It's not even a bad phone. The reason is because many people associate A1x series to be RM500-RM800 only, like the Galaxy A11, A12, A13 era, in which the budget phones were truly shitty to use. But the Galaxy A15 5G improved so much features so Samsung hiked up the price, but resale market doesn't take it seriously so now you have 50% off Samsung Galaxy A15 5G in the Malaysian used phone market

Imo, even the low-end A15 5G can last 5-6 years nowadays dare I say, but of course it doesn't have the features like the wireless charging and great cameras of your Note 10.

Why pay over rm1000 for ufs2.2... My budget phone from 3 years ago has ufs 3.1

Buying a phone needs to look through the entire package, for iQOO Z9 the highlights are the 6000mAh battery + 80W wired fast charging, 144Hz AMOLED paired with Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 alongside good cooling technology, in a 195g body. But the downside is the slower UFS 2.2 and worse camera setup.

But if you only look at UFS speeds, then the Poco X6 Pro triumphs with the fastest UFS 4.0 standard albeit with the Dimensity 8300 Ultra, paired with the 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED display. But with the slightly worse thermals, worse power efficiency and worse cameras. The 5000mAh battery + 67W is average nowadays and enough to get through the day on the Poco X6 Pro.

With that in mind, the Poco X6 Pro is still a 2nd place contender to the iQOO Z9 in my recommendations for brand new phones under RM1500.
