The first time I touched it, already fell in love with it. Reminded me so much of my old NEX PLatina (stainless steel finish). Damn nice! Then, I slide open the slider and tried the buttons. Feels so solid man! I've no complaint for the tight slide, personally I prefer it that way compared to loose XpressMusic 5610. The buttons have a very good response and its quite big and easy to press. I've compared and tried that phone (other phones as well) for 4 hours before deciding that 6500 slider is the one for my wife.
I cancelled 5610 because I feel that this model doesnt really suit a career woman nearing 30s. But with 6500, its perfect! Very classy and very suitable phone for executives. The shop has two model, the silver and black. I prefer silver even though I know sooner or later some scratches will be visible. But what phone doesn't deteriorate over time? I expect this phone to look good and working well for at least another 2 years.
When looking for a phone, you have to expect it to have certain drawbacks/weaknesses. But you have to consider whether the weakness outweights other positive values. For me, this model deserves my credit. It may not be as popular or demanding like 5610 xpressmusic, but the style definitely suits a person of my taste and of my wife. She loved it.
To be fair, the weakness for this phone is that it tends to be a little hot after prolong uses, due to its stainless steel body. Other than this, I don't see any other obvious problem so far. Perhaps I can share more after a week or so. No need to tell all the good stuff for this phone, its better if you read its review in GSMarena.
