I'm trying to decide between the Macbook Air and the iPad Pro. I mostly use my computer for surfing the web, reading, and basic editing. I already have an iMac and a Macbook, and my office provides a Windows laptop. I'm thinking of buying a laptop, but I'm not sure if I'll use it. I'm comfortable using a large-screen iMac when I work at home. I have an iMac, a MacBook, and an iPad Pro 10.5. I use the iPad a lot more than the other two devices. My iPad Pro 10.5 has a screen problem and needs an estimated RM1k to repair. At the same time, iPadOS no longer supports this device. Given these two issues, I'm considering replacing my iPad Pro 10.5.

If you don’t have a computer then MacBook, if you have already and want something light and portable for media consumption then iPad Pro.

It really depends on what you're looking to do with it. If you need something for more traditional computer tasks like typing, coding, or heavier multitasking, the MacBook Air could be the better choice. On the other hand, if you enjoy the versatility of a touchscreen and like using apps designed for tablets, the iPad Pro might be more your speed. Personally, I'd lean towards the MacBook Air for its laptop-like functionality, but if you're more into the tablet experience, the iPad Pro could be a better fit.

With the Logitech combo keyboard + touchpad + case, it’s almost like a laptop. Almost. IpadOS is still not a computer OS.
