Did Starbucks really focus on reducing their store branches nowadays?

I went to Setia City Mall just now and quite surprised that Starbucks branch for this mall permanently closed down.

SCM considered high traffic and full with people.

Same goes to Nando's in this mall. Closed down permanently.

Setia City mall I think almost 60% of their patrons are type M. So it's normal.

inside SCM tutup nvm la , nearby got 1 stand alone starfucks near tesco there.

The Starbucks at SCM is at old wing, all the stores in old wing have to refresh. Nando's and Starbucks have been there from the opening of mall super old. They probably want to consolidate and move all the food to the new wing area. The mall now is quite busy even weekdays after Aeon opened takeover from Lulu. Jamaica Blue also boarded up.

If they are closing for good, I think they'll just say it straight like this

My office coffee machine make nicer coffee than Starbucks. Seriously.

Starbucks have problems even in countries without boycott. The thing is that serving expensive coffee in a somewhat nice environment is not that hard. Very vulnerable to local competition.

Fact is Fast Foods and Starbuck are not good for health , during young time drink and eat too much of these type of food ...when latter in 40s or 50s suffer health problems ... so Boycott does have its benefits in long term ...

Too many same shops in an area also no good also. Concentrate at those which is easily accessible, and has frequent people coming.
