i always give max tip just to cover their trip back home after drop but frustrated with max 10 tips.

i think RM10 is bit low from grab, should just allow custom tips.

i only give to those who really deserving based on how they drive and behave and thankfully 90% of all my rides are good drivers


no need if can't afford to give la. i just want to bless these folks who work hard to feed their family. my ride allowance usually covers both fare and tip

I always give tips. RM6 ride i pay RM10; a similar taxi ride would have cost me at least RM18. A ride from Seri Iskandar (Perak tengah) to Jln Bandar Timah, Ipoh cost RM37, I paid RM50.

I rarely book Grab and yes I always tip them

Only twice. But I seldom take grab pun.
Once back in kk sabah. Took a flight reached 11pm something. By the time I get a grab and reach home almost midnight. Guy didn’t even get midnight surcharge. And the total bill was less than rm10 I think. Big diff with kl airport lol. So I think I gave rm5 and the guy was shocked.


This year back from trip. Midnight plus big car already splurge than usual. Saw message from grab said driver is deaf. During driving he even took trouble to ask with gesture is the aircon cold for me.

I like a person who fights for his place in society. Gave him rm20 and you can see he’s very grateful.

The 'tip' concept or philosophy, I am sure, was created by employers so that they can pay their employees peanuts, and at same time give the employee a false comfort that they can still make good money. So, whenever you see a company promoting tips for employees, you know what they are really doing.

If everyone stops giving tips, then the workers will be pissed off with their true earnings, and the company may be forced to offer a better package to retain them.

i do give tips for grab drivers... but seldom for grab food...
some of them just chasing for the next delivery and food ended up mishandled..

Grab should have a ability to allow use to upfront tip a certain amount..
and only claimable when food arrives in good condition and no spills...then they can claim this tip like bonus.

CNY time i give ang pao RM 20 if good altitude, payment via card itu tak ada tips loh afraid give tips later grab and collect half of the tips, unless paid RM 50 cash got RM 4.70 balance I'll say keep the change loh or RM 60 cash ada 7.80 balance I'll say keep the change loh if good altitude .
