QUOTE(sniper on the roof @ Nov 12 2007, 12:00 PM) The thing's like this... I bought a stock o/c'ed MSI and its artifact free etc at the 660/1900 but after some multi hour session of bioshock, it will occasionally just craps out.. freeze there and then. hmm...been using same card with 700/2000mhz speed for 7 days. Anyhow, I initially thought it was the cooling.... so whack fans kau kau. Only doing less than 50C load and each ram chip temps are around 42-45C only. To make the long story short..I checked with some friends in Nvidia and they said that its a mem issue... that's why so many boards on the market are DOA'ed and there's that sudden red artifact thingy. Anyway..I reduced my mem to 1800 now. Core and shader can of course whack lar no problem so far except the hot temperature. gonna clock mem down soon. |
