I would recommend anyone limited on budget to save up and buy a decent one. Don't buy cheap heatsink+fan because it's not worth it. When you lift the stock cooler, you voided the warranty. Your resell price has been extremely lowered. Plus, there's no guarantee that it'll work on your future upgrades.
So, if you want a cooler, of which, you can use on current and future cards, I would suggest getting a decent one recommended in the Overclocker forum. It may have voided the warranty but the high OC-ability would justify the void. |
