QUOTE(BOURN3 @ Jan 12 2009, 12:23 PM) good day to all forumers.... i just bought a 8800gtx from a friend in perak. but when i install in my old pc, looks like my cpu is bottlenecking my gc performance. when i run 3D mark 06', my score just above 5k now i am seeking for new cpu (q6600) and a new mobo. could someone suggest me a good mobo (good enuff to be overclocked....)?? (i feel sorry for asking this noob question, but if someone answer dis...it means a lot to me ) how much is ur budget??? and OEM q6600 will cost u minimum RM400 and a good overclockable mobo maybe another RM400. btw whats ur current mobo and proc??

Gigabyte EP45-UD3P not bad.. price around 500 i think. cousin running her q6600 rock-solid stable at 3.4GHz. you might wanna get new quad proc ler. there's a topic on this if you're interested in knowing more about gigabyte mobo, please refer here forum.lowyat.net/topic/830790This post has been edited by nicholasmark: Jan 13 2009, 02:58 PM

I think 8800GT is slightly weaker than 9800GT or is it the driver? 9800GT @ 3.7ghz 3mb cache @ 700/1100/1750 @ 181.20 8800GT @ 4.0ghz 6mb cache @ 710/1030/1775 @ 169.25 This post has been edited by Silverfire: Jan 13 2009, 06:50 PM

GTG Try decreasing the core down to about 730-750 and increase your shader. see if that helps.. worse come to worst, google 8800GTS 512 voltmod. but no worries la bro, many sifu here sure can help you.

QUOTE(Silverfire @ Jan 14 2009, 11:55 AM) 3DMark06 can't detect SLI, anyone know why? If you scored 9300 in 3DMark06 SLI is definitely enabled. a simple test would be to untick the sli checkbox and run 3DMark06 again and see what score you get.
