But it couldn't be... Not even 100 scores increment? Impossible as the clocks for the GPU is increased quite significantly.

Anyway my Galaxy 8800GT dual slot with twin pcie power, cannot adjust the fan manually thru rivatuner. Even I set up the fan to max 100% the temp is still the same.

Any idea to overcome this ?

I don't know how the thing goes but can try this:
1.) 2 pcie connector right? try run 1 separately, and see which one is for the fan power. Then you might want to modify a voltage controller to it so that you can adjust the fan physically.
2.) Get aftermarket cooler and change it.

That galaxy 8800gt 512mb as I know it's a problematic card with the coolmaster cooler. bad design. but for the price you pay, it's the cheapest 8800gt after all.

The fan is indeed very noisy and it makes a lot of sense to get an aftermarket cooling. I modded the fan day one and running water cooling now.

shud be the same... be careful ur using stock cooler... don't push too much... last time on stock cooler i run 700mhz core and run atitool for 5 minutes the temperature already 80+...

i feel galaxy dual slot cooler like same temp with normal only >< load still can go til 76 on stock
