Good enough for min 3 years. However, the aircon repair fella may not have the spare parts in stock because it is not as common as Daikin or other Japanese or Korean models.

Daikin inverter all the way. Previously using haier aircond. Electrical bill rm200.00 plus every month, after changing to Daikin electrical bill less than rm150 every month. Price different with Daikin and others brand can get back within 6 months of electrical bill saving.

Mitsubishi is easy to take out. Look for those write ā€œEasy Cleanā€.

But nowadays got those aircon cleaning kits selling around. Doesn’t need to take out the blower.

The problem taking out the blower is that it can cause/ increase noise after install back misalign.

The fin is easy flip open. the blower is placing further out for hand easy to go in. This all without need to open the whole casing out. Compare Panasonic.

From my purchase history, Midea is the better one.

Hisense not so good, broken after a year but can claim warranty. Still need to wait long for repairs.

Currently trying Haier.

Used in Bapak's room, as his own collection of valuable antiques so nothing much to complain.

Plus our home is quite big (7bed ensuite) house, who cares that small little aircond consumption. Just 0.5 or 1 ferrari power only if I tak silap.

The hot air suck in become restrict on top.

And you have hard time to clean the top side coil. I have this issue with my room aircon. Can't even vacuum the top.

What is the BTU number?

If you gonna just use it 3-4 hours at a go, it makes no difference

Get the " Mitsubishi Heavy Industries" if you can. More reliable. But the look less attractive, plain and less feature. Compare to the consumer type.

Last weekend, I get the Panasonic inverter 2hp to replace the 1.5hp Mitsubishi.

the AC are independent of each other, why need to be the same brand. when you buy mobile phones do you also have to buy the same model for every family member?

other than having a greater discount and more aesthetic uniformity i can't see why having the same brand for every AC is good.

common sense, pal.

gree for me. cheap and good. i have experience with daikin, the DC fan for the condenser broke down in 6 years due to the rusted plate at the botton, causing the fan holder to break and wiggle when the fan is on. never again.

since reliability and longevity is a thing in the past, just go for the cheaper brand like midea or gree. i feel choosing more expensive brands like daikin or mitsubishi electric is just paying for their stupid ads on TV. they all start having problems after 5-6 years.

Only if multi split then no choice need pick same brand. If all units are individual single split, better get both A and B brand or more than 2 brands also can

Like sticking with both Daikin and Panasonic. Or venture into midea / haier / whatever for less used room ac

Daikin inverter all the way. Previously using haier aircond. Electrical bill rm200.00 plus every month, after changing to Daikin electrical bill less than rm150 every month. Price different with Daikin and others brand can get back within 6 months of electrical bill saving.

daikin bad to worse. my 2 units 1hp broke down same time exactly 5 years.... repairman say the outside unit spoil.. now change to midea , cheaper and more features

Hisense - NO
Midea - No
TCl and Haier - I dont know .

Im involved in many airconditioning works - when comes to Midea - i dont use them even when given for free . For Split Unit, I dont use Hisense either , but you can use their VRF since they use Japanese Technology . Hisense Vrf is actually Hitachi VRF , under Hisense Flag .

Panasonic - is dying, so i'd suggest go with Hitachi if it's for your own home .

Daikin most installer will suggest because its the brand they familiar with & they keep lots of spare parts for it.

But if you use it long enough you know how it is.

the AC are independent of each other, why need to be the same brand. when you buy mobile phones do you also have to buy the same model for every family member?

other than having a greater discount and more aesthetic uniformity i can't see why having the same brand for every AC is good.

common sense, pal.

Exactly this, that's why I asked what most people usually do in such situation.

I am using Haier for the past 4 years. All very good. No problem.

Affordable and good quality. And I have LED temp display which is a nice touch.

yeah, now cleaning panasonic blower consider easy, but still need careful, need careful to jack up the cooling coil or take out blower, otherwise the fin will easy bend.

i saw the midea one can take out whole blower module easily...only one screw...

Hitachi didnt leave , taken over by bosch . All continue like normal .

Hitachi dont bother marketing because their barang known to be good and reliable . it's just that they are expensive .

Daikin on the other hand, aggressive marketing , but failure rate quite high .

Now the China tech and quality surpasses the Japs and Korean. Used to be loyal to Jap and Korean brands and prepared to pay a premium for quality. But the prices keeps going up and durability is decreasing. Switched to China brands to test out and was pleasantly surprised at their quality and durability today. In many cases, they have the most extensive warranties. No more doubts on China brands especially with the notable ones.

Same here, bought the midea all easy pro for the easy cleaning as well

Before this using Panasonic non-inverter, supposed to be less problematic with less of the advanced electronics inverter stuff but end up the compressor unit fan motor KO'ed within 5 months despite not using it on daily basis, managed to claim warranty

After that, changed to midea already then this Panasonic relocate to other room
