Good enough for min 3 years. However, the aircon repair fella may not have the spare parts in stock because it is not as common as Daikin or other Japanese or Korean models. ye0073 and thesoothsayer liked this post

Daikin inverter all the way. Previously using haier aircond. Electrical bill rm200.00 plus every month, after changing to Daikin electrical bill less than rm150 every month. Price different with Daikin and others brand can get back within 6 months of electrical bill saving.

I would recommend midea easyclean as the layout makes DIY cleaning way easier then Panasonic.

From my purchase history, Midea is the better one.
Hisense not so good, broken after a year but can claim warranty. Still need to wait long for repairs. Currently trying Haier. |

Need everyone's advice. Say if I want to install 5 aircon for new house, is it better to install all the same brand? Or you'd suggest install different brand, maybe 2 different brands?
Scared later if realized the brand I picked not good, then habislah whole house with shitty Aircon. Currently using Panasonic and Daikin, eventhough always heard people talk bad about Panasonic, but so far so good. |

gree for me. cheap and good. i have experience with daikin, the DC fan for the condenser broke down in 6 years due to the rusted plate at the botton, causing the fan holder to break and wiggle when the fan is on. never again. since reliability and longevity is a thing in the past, just go for the cheaper brand like midea or gree. i feel choosing more expensive brands like daikin or mitsubishi electric is just paying for their stupid ads on TV. they all start having problems after 5-6 years. bereev liked this post

QUOTE(Bananahead @ Dec 17 2024, 02:17 PM) Need everyone's advice. Say if I want to install 5 aircon for new house, is it better to install all the same brand? Or you'd suggest install different brand, maybe 2 different brands? Only if multi split then no choice need pick same brand. If all units are individual single split, better get both A and B brand or more than 2 brands also can Scared later if realized the brand I picked not good, then habislah whole house with shitty Aircon. Currently using Panasonic and Daikin, eventhough always heard people talk bad about Panasonic, but so far so good. Like sticking with both Daikin and Panasonic. Or venture into midea / haier / whatever for less used room ac |

QUOTE(synchron @ Jun 3 2024, 12:39 PM) Daikin inverter all the way. Previously using haier aircond. Electrical bill rm200.00 plus every month, after changing to Daikin electrical bill less than rm150 every month. Price different with Daikin and others brand can get back within 6 months of electrical bill saving. daikin bad to worse. my 2 units 1hp broke down same time exactly 5 years.... repairman say the outside unit spoil.. now change to midea , cheaper and more features |

QUOTE(Skylinestar @ Jun 3 2024, 01:12 PM) Planning to buy Hisense/Midea/TCL/Haier aircond. Hisense - NO https://shopee.com.my/-Online-Exclusive-His...910.25324348392 Midea - No TCl and Haier - I dont know . Im involved in many airconditioning works - when comes to Midea - i dont use them even when given for free . For Split Unit, I dont use Hisense either , but you can use their VRF since they use Japanese Technology . Hisense Vrf is actually Hitachi VRF , under Hisense Flag . Panasonic - is dying, so i'd suggest go with Hitachi if it's for your own home . |

Daikin most installer will suggest because its the brand they familiar with & they keep lots of spare parts for it.
But if you use it long enough you know how it is. |

QUOTE(icycokes @ Dec 17 2024, 02:23 PM) the AC are independent of each other, why need to be the same brand. when you buy mobile phones do you also have to buy the same model for every family member? Exactly this, that's why I asked what most people usually do in such situation.other than having a greater discount and more aesthetic uniformity i can't see why having the same brand for every AC is good. common sense, pal. QUOTE(MyProLife @ Dec 17 2024, 03:54 PM) Hitachi didnt leave , taken over by bosch . All continue like normal . Hitachi dont bother marketing because their barang known to be good and reliable . it's just that they are expensive . Daikin on the other hand, aggressive marketing , but failure rate quite high . |

Now the China tech and quality surpasses the Japs and Korean. Used to be loyal to Jap and Korean brands and prepared to pay a premium for quality. But the prices keeps going up and durability is decreasing. Switched to China brands to test out and was pleasantly surprised at their quality and durability today. In many cases, they have the most extensive warranties. No more doubts on China brands especially with the notable ones.
