Sorry, am a noobiez when it comes to telco plans.

I have used prepaid and postpaid but rarely change plans, phone also I bought separately no contract. (old and cheap android phone, I poor, haha)

I tried to look for review and read all the comparisons for different telco plans but end up more confused and very headache. rclxub.gif

=================

This is my current situation and usage, any idea which is best for me?

Home (for entire family): Unifi 100mbps with UnifiTV, pay RM130++ per month.

Main phone: Digi postpaid 58 (Rm60++), unlimited calls, 16GB data, not sure how much hotspot. (no contract)

Separate phone (for grandfather): Digi postpaid 38 (RM40++), unlimited calls, not sure how much data or hotspot. (no contract)

Total paid: RM240++ monthly.

=================

Issue: My old (6 years) cheap android phone damaged and will die soon, not worth repair, I wanna get new phone but afraid too expensive, so looking to subscribe telco contract with phone for first time in my life, haha. But after reading the various comparisons and pricing details, I get a huge migraine, dont know how to choose.

I'm low income girl, no hubby or kid, working to support grandparents and younger siblings, parents are "not available" (sorry long sad story, no point telling).

Anyway, I'm looking for a way to pay LESS but for the same or better services combined (Home internet + main phone line + extra line for grandpa). My siblings use prepaid and they settle themselves, I only help when they low on money.

So, is there a cheaper way to combine these services and still get a new phone? Or should I buy phone separately and go with prepaid?

Oh, got one condition, cannot change unifi because grandparents addicted to UnifiTV, its their only budget entertainment. They raised me and siblings, never ask for much, so this is the least I could do for them, now that they are old and retired. Unifi also for entire family, siblings need it for studying too, I use it for work related things and entertainment.

Any recommendations? Thanks in advance for any help. notworthy.gif

I don't think you can tweak further because I tweaked mine as well to be super frugal. I'm still on Digi RM38 like your grandpa. What you can do is downgrade your Digi RM58 to the new RM40 5G SE. The Unifi+UnifiTV is probably the cheapest combo already. Other option like any 100Mbps + Sooka will end up slightly more than your RM130.  I'm on Maxis RM89+RM10 for land line, Astro RM43.15 for the oldies. For me, just get a cheap but reliable phone like Samsung (A05s, A15, A25, etc) due to their 2 Android + 4 years security update. Most phones fuck up because there's no proper software update and not so much on hardware issue. Those phone plan usually require you to sign up for package higher than your RM58 right now. The RM40 Digi 5G SE is already more than enough of data.

Meaning only RM20 saving and phone I still need buy new ka?

What is Sooka? haha

I heard people say get principal + 1 family line can be cheaper? Because family line is less than RM40? Betul ka?

Your Unifi should be quite some time already.
I believe u can gi tmpoint change to "stay with us 4.0" for RM79 addon unifi total around RM100 i think.

For digi postpaid depends what u need. Mine is RM28 with unlimited calls and 100 SMS and 8GB data (can hotspot).

hmm, but this stay with us 4.0 no include unifiTV channels right? If include need pay extra RM30?

What is the name of the RM28 plan? No new phone correct?

Yes SWU no include unifitv so that would be RM79 + RM30
Or u can go tmpoint to nego see if they can give u better promo.

Alternatively if ur relationshio to neighbour is quite good can try sub their internet like paying them RM50/month?
My postpaid plan name is Digi Postpaid 28, although it used to be a different name previously.
This is a retention plan not available publicly. I actually wanted to convert to Prepaid but the pic there say got this cheaper plan so i downgrade to this RM28
No phone because afaik for phone package its only worth it if u get their higher priced plan. Since i dont need that much internet so it is cheaper for me to buy phone outside with installment.
Plan price higher = phone price cheaper.
Plan price lower = phone price expensive.

Don't know what this means, haha.

For the RM28 plan, need ask them at Digi office right? Cannot do online?

The hotspot is combined with the 8GB ka or is it separate with less GB?

30gb can hotspot frm 40gb quota
If dont hotspot then use all 40gb quota

U need to set monthly alarm reminder in ur hp to reload
Set to 25 days. Dont set monthly coz this prepaid folo 30 days not monthly

If accidentally expired or credit empty, they won't just delete my number right?

I can just reload and reactivate online?

Also, credit empty still can receive incoming calls? Make whatsapp calls over wifi?
