means Mo throw LFC and then purposely benched himself for 3 games and didnt want to travel? ok...
fact is no one knows what went on before this...for Mo to come out like this means he felt injustice already...

Mo throw lfc DURING the interview - FACT that really happened
'What went on before this' - assumptions
Comment from welbeast - assumptions

I can only comment based on what i see that really happen. I can't comment based on IF or assumptions.

And if u notice, few key players like alisson spoke out after the outburst, and none, I repeat, NONE of them side salah ya. They remain neutral. So it speaks volume what they think of it. And coupled with the performance last night, the players seems committed.

the only reason Slot is still in a job after the most dismal run of form since the 50's is because there was no other world class manager out there available to replace him.

Gerrard was a romantics choice as an interim replacement which probably was a bad decision, and getting klopp back even as an interim solution was not something klopp would have agreed to anyways.

Tonight's City/Madrid game might get Xabi Alonso sacked, and as soon as he becomes available, Slot might not have it so easy anymore if results don't turn around.

If xabi sack, then I agree to sack slot too, as I rate xabi higher than slot tongue.gif

He won the league, by not doing anything.

Did he bring his own formation or new tactics to the team - hardly.
Were there new players he needed to get in to adapt to the team - no, even chiesa was barely in the team.

He basically jumped into a A380 that was cruising at attitude, left it at auto pilot and won us the title. Granted, we have to thank Arsenal and Manchester City for having a massive dip of form at the same time.

But the cracks were showing. There were two BIG games where his tactics and knowledge and management skills were desperately needed. At home to PSG, and also the League Cup final against Newcastle. These two games was where he was found out to be lacking.

And players, especially elite players like Salah know when to look up to a Manager who knows what he is doing, and one who does not. Before these two games, Salah was firing on all cylinders, gunning for the Balon D'or. Even with the PSG defeat and being out of the CL, Salah would have still been a favorite if he has continued his form all the way till the end of the season. This did not happen. And it was not just Salah, the whole team, the malaise for LFC did not start this season, it started last season.

The early form, and luck, and the Jota factor drove us for the first few games on this season. The Isak situation did not help, but we still won ugly, late goals covered up the cracks. The silly transfer window where we replaced players who worked hard like Diaz, Nunez, even Elliot just never made any sense.

Getting so many new players in, and still playing a system that was still essentially the system Klopp built up from scratch - a system that desperately needs players to work hard, and press high and chase down every ball - with new players is not easy, but Slot just stuck with it, throwing square pegs in round holds, and just hoping it works is the ethos of a manager who is severely out of depth, trying to play a system that was never his to begin with.

this is from when robbo got interviewed after the inter game...

QUOTE
"i signed in the same window as him. Whatever has happened, happened. Internally, we're all together.”

When asked about Salah’s future, he added: "That'll be up to other people, it's not up to me. I love playing with Mo Salah, and I hope to continue playing with him."

how one interprets it is just another assumption..
fact remains robbo said something...neutral or not is up to interpretation...
im pretty sure if Slot didn't win anything last season then all this scenario would be very different...
we'll see by end of season what will happen...
but as it stands now...lets not forget we're already out of the mickey mouse cup...and likely little chance of winning the league...or even anything else this season...

Hmmm....would Moyes have won without doing anything? laugh.gif

And you would sack a manager who just won the League in his 1st season a few months back due to this poor run?

For reference, pep has also similar bad run in 24/25. 8 losses in 12 games with only 1 win. Does this makes pep a bad manager?

Slot definitely not at pep level. But if a legendary manager like pep also can have this kind of run in a cash loaded team, why weaker slot can't have that run? Of cos, pep able to steady ship after 3 months or so (iirc), let's see if slot can do the same. Bottom line, let's give slot time to fix it

actually if you are the top management, most likely you will side with slot no matter salah was right or wrong.

this is to use someone as a whipping boy to set an example, this is a good timing for that because many players are still new to the club.
